All furniture was bubble wrapped and covered in blankets. They moved my stuff into storage and then into the house. They were very good. They did not charge me for the move between my apartment into the new house. They came when they said they would.

They arrived on time, were friendly and hard workers. Would definitely use them again.

Well done - the movers were very careful, no dings in furniture or nicks in the wall. It was a tough haul, with a double flight of stairs, and lots of tetris-type jockeying around. After the room was remodeled they came back on a day's notice with the same crew we had requested. The foreman forgot some paperwork and had to chase us down at work the next day to sign an inventory sheet - a minor hassle. But the work was done well and on budget.

They were very responsive and courteous. I would use them again.

We were very pleased with the packers. They worked quickly and cleanly, asked questions when necessary, and generally did a very good job. The movers & deliverers were pleasant and worked well, but were very slow. Overall, we are happy that they were tidy and careful, slow we can deal with!

In preparation for remodeling of our home, we had to move out much of the contents to make way for the remodel project. We only had to move two houses away which made the move somewhat easy. Northstar was VERY professional in the pre move preparation and very clear about what the costs would be. The movers (3 men) were also very polite and very efficient. They did it in 4.75 hours for a cost of just under $550. They did a great job and we will be using them to move back in once the remodeling is complete. They were scheduled to arrive between 8-10 am and were there at 7:50 am (very punctual - so they were ready to work at 8:00 am as promised).

The company was very professional. Everything went as expected. Almost all of the arrangements were handled online.

I was very happy with the services provided by this mover! I was especially pleased with the three man work crew that performed the actual move. They were very professional and got to work immediately upon arriving at my home. I've dealt with eight moving companies in the last five years and this was by far the easiest and best move of them all! I will definitely use this company again if the need arises!

Here are some of the many problems I had: Stood next to the crew leader as he dropped a picture of mine, which he later denied breaking. Stacked a tile cutting wet saw on top of my leather theater recliners, leaving a depression in the leather. I noticed that they were just placing my original oil paintings in the truck, so I asked them to wrap them like I saw in the pictures during the sales pitch, but I was told that they do not wrap pictures for local moves. When the paintings were unloaded at my house there was dirt and grease on them. Lots and lots of boxes with no more than a few items in them and stuffed with tons of paper, while some boxes were filled up without any paper. Boxes were not marked with their contents, and the boxes packed on the second day weren't even marked with what room they came from. I specifically asked for one of my computers to be bubble wrapped, but it was just thrown onto the truck, not even in a box. I'm out of room, but I could go on and on...

We were moving from California to Texas at the end of June, which is one of the busiest times of the year for a mover. The people at Northstar were professional and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. They came on the date scheduled and did a terrific job on packing the furniture. I had packed most items myself. They had given us a two-week delivery window, but the furniture didn't arrive until the 16th day. I had been mistakenly told by a rep that they paid $100/day for each day the delivery was late. When they were late, I was told the rate was only $35/day for late delivery. When I spoke to the manager, they went ahead and honored the $100/day like I was originally told. Of course, I would have much rather have had my furniture, but was glad they honored their word.

The moving crew was on time (a little early, actually), very professional, and polite. They were very efficient, completing the job faster than expected and under the estimate. They allowed me to use my own packing tape instead of charging me for theirs. I ended up selling my old microwave to one of them as I didn't need it anymore. We even had to re-schedule after we originally set the date, and it wasn't a problem for them. There was minor damage (eg: scuffs on the wall, one ding in the wall where they tried to move a piece of furniture that was too wide for the stairwell, stain on the carpet from the bottom of the fridge), but not more than I would expect from a move in general. All easily addressed.

Called to inquire about pricing, availability, etc. Lynn Mioni was very nice, explained pricing, including any extras and insurance. The move went exactly as she stated it would, including the scheduling and follow up phone calls. The movers were more than I could have hoped for. Called when they were on the way, worked diligently, non-stop, not even to drink the water I offered them. They were polite and professional, asked where I wanted everything to go instead of just plopping it on the first available area. They even moved the furniture a little to the left, no, to the right, just a little over, perfect! They were very careful with all my belongings, including a very heavy armoir that they carried upstairs, two televisions, refrigerator, etc. Didn't drop, break, scratch or damage anything! The entire move took less time than expected and I've never had a more pleasant experience moving. If I ever move again, they are the ONLY company I would call.
