MTZ Paint and Drywall

Nick did an outstanding job. They cleaned up after the work. MTZ's pricing seemed a bit high, however, you get what you pay for and this professional is worth every penny. I already have him on the books for another project in a few weeks. I highly recommend and I would not use any other contractor.

They did a great job. Completed project on time and were very respectful of my home and cleaned up cleaned up daily after work. Nick does outstanding workmanship. Also, his communication skills are outstanding. He continually kept me informed and checked in with me as the work was in progress to ensure it was being done to my expectations and standards. Nick's pricing was by far the best I found when doing my research. I highly recommend and most definitely will use again.

Did a wonderful job. More than willing to accommodate my changes in my decisions. Outstanding job and well worth the money. Extraordinary professional and experience. Trees were really tall and difficult to work with and they had no problem taking care of them. I highly recommend and definitely will use again.

Came to paint in early January 2015 during extreme cold snap which surprised me. I should have said no but I had been on the wait list a few months.
Workers painted screens in my garage due to cold (without first asking me.)  Left screens stacked around causing paint to stick from screen to screen. Six screens had been repaired or remade before they started. They would not deal with hardware and hanging screens which surprised me. (when I was on painting crews in college we did all of that). They said they would come back and touch up all the screens when these final screens were hung. Handyman could not hang the screens because he needed to open the windows to attach all the hardware and they were stuck shut. I texted Mr. Martinez to ask for his assistance and he said that was usual and not his fault. So I was stuck with handyman who could not unstick windows without damaging paint. Upshot, still have six screens in garage and all screens have not been touched up as promised where the paint fell away where painters left them touching.  Mr. Martinez said mess on windows was from previous paintjob but it was not (different color and last painted before the flood) but he would clean it.
Mr. Martinez did not come back to touch up screens or clean off overspray. At first I was very happy from the look of it, but that was because I had chosen great colors. In the end I was left with an incomplete job wishing I had chosen the more establisheded contractor in the first place. Now I'm going to have to hire someone to fix this.

The second service in 5 years. They are exceptionally professional and prompt. The return service was due to excessive hail damage.They made sure every crack and dent on the siding was grouted before painting. They removed all the items from my deck and replaced everything to the original place. They also replaced the warped weathered railing . They matched the old paint perfectly. I highly recommend their service and the cost was very reasonable.

When they were in the process of demolishing i told them the wall they were demolishing was very fragile because it had an important water system through it. They hit a water pipe which caused another flood. I had to hire a dry team for $2080. I asked if he could pay half for the service or do work for me in the amount of $1040. Plus he was supposed give me 10% back for being an angie's list member. He kept giving me the run around and didn't every answer. all of this happens within a year and a half. So last month I continued calling them and have not received any feedback at all.Needless to say, I just want everyone to know he is dishonest and untrustworthy.

Ramiro and his crew are nothing short of amazing. If all contractors were like them, there would be no need for anything like Angie's List. They are dependable, trust-worthy, hard-working and have a very high set of standards. We had a water leak in our home and needed a ton of dry-wall, texture and painting work done. Ramiro and his crew were here for almost a week. They showed up on time (within the minute) every day and left the house spot-less each evening. All work was done perfectly, and they are a delightful crew. I even had them touch up some shoddy work by a terrible cabinet refinisher, they did a great job and I regret not having used MTZ for my cabinetry as well. I didn't realize they did that, and would have saved myself much grief if I had used them for everything!
As with any contractor, I had my punch list of things to be touched up when work was nearing a close. Before I could even walk Ramiro through the house, all my concerns had been fixed as well as a few I didn't catch! Ramiro is a perfectionist and it shows. I would not hesitate to call Ramiro in the future, and actually find myself looking for projects knowing I have someone like him to help.

They were excellent! It was wonderful. I can't say enough about them. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I had to my friends. It was excellent service, excellent skills, and very customer oriented. I find the price to be pretty reasonable for all that they have done. They were excellent in all areas. I would call them back and use them again.

Amazing. Completely surpassed my expectations. On time everyday. Cleaned up every day. Polite, courteous, went above and beyond their job scope, absolute perfectionists with paint and texturing. They are worth waiting for as they are very busy. Had to wait about a month, but was well worth it. Fantastic communication. Just can't say enough great things about this company!

Ramiro and his crew did a very good job and made sure things were done well. They came back and touched up spots in the texture nicely. The painting came out nicely as well. Pricing was competitive and they were easy to work with. My wife interfaced with them daily. They were respectful and very professional. Will bid them again when it is time to do the big part of the remodeling.

Went quite well in an organized way

This is the 2nd Angie's list review on the same job. In my first review I was happy with the company, but now I am very disappointed. I hired MTZ in December to paint the exterior of my house plus kitchen ceiling. When I discussed the schedule with Konrad I explained to him that I wanted to wait till the tree leaves stop falling so the gutters will not get clogged again right after the new paint(pressure washing/gutter cleaning is all part of the bid). Konrad offered to let one of the guys stop by in spring to clean the gutter again for free, so they can work on the paint job in December instead of waiting. So we agreed. At the end of the job, I made sure both Konrad and the head of the crew memebers (sorry I forgot his name) both remember this arrangement. They both said no problem at all and someone can stop by in spring and do it real quick. The guys did a fine job, I was happy as I am not a picky person, and I gave them a good review here. I also recommended them to my neighbor when he asked.
In March I emailed MTZ to see when they can send someone for a quick gutter cleanup. Miguel Martinez replied saying Konrad is no longer with the company and he will check with Ramiro. When he didn't get back to me in a few days I sent a follow up email. No reply. I figured the guys might be busy and I can wait. However, this is June and I have sent several more follow up emails but never got any answer. This is disappointing. Gutter cleaning is not a big job and I can certainly pay someone else to do it. The problem here is that MTZ did not do what they said they would do. Will I use this company again? no.

I would recommend these guys to anyone who wants a perfect job. They were extremely professional and worked magic on our house. They left the site in excellent shape even cleaning the bathroom at the end!! Who does that!!! Anyone who has come over to our house asks who painted it and wants their number. A perfect job!!!

MTZ Brothers are an extremely courteous, prompt and fair group of guys. They were also very cognizant of the time frame in which we needed to get work done. They effectively worked around other workers, such as plumbers and flooring installers, without any hiccups whatsoever. They were fair, competent, and extremely friendly.
MTZ Brothers are so much more than a simple painting and drywall company. In addition to the multitude of services they performed, they went above and beyond on the and quot;gotchasand quot;. For example, in one area of our home, we found that a pipe had been improperly installed and stuck out from the wall too far, which would have resulted in the wall slanting up slightly from the floor, or we would have had to pay a plumber a lot of money to drill into the concrete under the carpet and move the pipe. Instead, MTZ built a shelf-type wall around the pipe, which looks perfect. You'd never have have known there was ever anything else there. They offered creative solutions to a variety of other problems they encountered along the way (we bought an older home with a few challenges).

Additionally, when MTZ finished the job, they threw in a couple of extras, that we did not pay for, such as painting our entry-way and removing a massive awning from the outside of our home (not an easy undertaking).
I highly recommend these guys, and I will use them in the future for any job I've got that they can handle.

Prior to hiring MTZ (Sergio), I hired a painter from Craig's List. He showed up with his crew and they were a complete disaster. They did a lot of damage to my property and were incapable of doing my job. After two weeks of pure misery, I fired them. Then I hired MTZ (Sergio). He showed up the same day I called him to give me a quote. He then started work the next morning. To say MTZ and my previous painter were night and day would be to put it mildly. The MTZ team did a phenomenal job. They accomplished in 1.5 days what the previous paint crew would never have accomplished. They repaired cracks throughout my house by taping, floating and retexturing. They did a great job at this. Their paint job was fantastic. They were work horses and a dream come true. Their prices are reasonable and they do an excellent job. Do yourself a favor and hire them. I wish I had met Sergio in the first place. I would have saved a lot of time and money if I had.

My experience was excellant. The bid was professional, the workers were either on time or early each and every morning. The job was done in the amount of time they stated in the bid. They cleaned up every day. They same crew ( I had Ramiro) that started was here every day and for the 2nd job I got the same crew as well. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They completed the job in approximately 4 hours which included the Living Room, Kitchen, Entry way and two doorway openings that are attached to my open area. They did an excellent job and the ceiling looks great. I will use them again for my paint job.

I used MTZ to paint the kitchen ceiling and exterior of my house. The kitchen ceiling required drywall repair for a 1 sqft hole and some cracks. Konrad came out to do the estimate. He is a very pleasant person and very easy to work with. He is quote is close to the other quote I got but I chose his company because he seemed to be easy to work with (And he really is throughout the whole project). The crews are great. They came on time, and called when they would be10 minutes late one day morning. They communicated very well, and would always ask my opinion to make sure they do it the way I like. They definitely paid a lot of attention to details which is important. They spend a lot of time on the kitchen ceiling job to make it look perfect. They guys also happily helped me put some windows screens back on and replaced the outdoor light bulbs etc when I asked. They are really great guys. I am very happy with the job they finished and will hire them again when I need .

Couldn't be happier with services. They accomodated my short timeframe and even got a 2nd crew in to help out and were done a day early for no extra cost. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quick and reliable painting crew.

In fact, our written estimate from MTZ states: and quot;I agree to have the above work done for the proposed price and have read and understand this information.and quot; After the call, we emailed him expressing our disappointment and telling him we expected him to honor the agreed upon price for the exterior work. Based upon the content and tone of his email below (threatening legal action), we do not want any more dealings with this company, but feel this information should be made available to Angie's List members

Mr. Zappler finally responded to our email by sending the following email: and quot;Sorry you feel that way. It clearly says and quot;estimateand quot; at the top of the proposal. This means things can happen that we didn't expect. If you want to be angry and threaten me because of an unexpected complication, be my guest. I've never allowed myself to be bullied and I don't plan to start now. Any further contact from you will be considered harassment and any attempts to slander me or my business will be dealt with legally.and quot;

The entire experience was excellent! From my first call to Konrad to schedule an estimate, until my entire punch list was completed to my full satisfaction, every interaction was professional and all work was very high quality. I am a very tough to please client, but I am 100% satisfied with the experience and final product! MTZ has competitive prices and a great attention to detail.
I was unable to complete a full walkthrough of the project on the day MTZ completed their work due to my work schedule. I completed the walkthrough the next day and noted a few minor items that needed correction. MTZ was out the next morning at 8am to correct everything to my complete satisfaction. They were not interested in quickly moving on to the next project until they knew I was 100% satisfied.
