I wish there was a lower grade than ?F? that I could give the Moving Guys. First, I wish that I had consulted Angie?s List (the Moving Guys are listed but not reviewed) before. On the recommendation of a friend, I contacted and contracted my move with Armando at the Moving Guys. We scheduled our move about one week in advance for Thursday with an arrival between 7 am and 9 am. I called Armando on Wednesday afternoon and got confirmation of the Thursday moving date and time. On Thursday morning The Moving Guys were no show and no call. After leaving several voice mail messages, Matt finally contacted me by phone with his mea culpa--the explanation was that there had been a ?scheduling mistake? (they had erroneously scheduled my move for Friday, again between 7 am and 9 am). Matt promised that he would try to get movers to my house by 5 pm Thursday afternoon. Again, no show and no call. I called and Matt made a second promise to have a crew arrive on Friday same time and place as had been erroneously scheduled. Again, no show and no call. I finally got Matt on the phone at 9:30 am on Friday and he was ?putting together a moving crew? as we spoke and they should be there momentarily. By 11 am...you guessed it, no show and no call. I pulled the plug and made an appointment with one of Angie?s finest. All I can say is that if it is a timely move you want--or any move at all--don?t use the Moving Guys because the Moving Guys can?t be moved. After note: I looked up the Moving Guys on Google Reviews and Yelp Reviews. While there were a few good evaluations of the Moving Guys, there were more than a few customer reviews that described the unnecessary damage that the Moving Guys perpetrated on family heirlooms and fine furniture and their unwillingness to compensate for the damage. All I can say is that in pulling the plug I inadvertently may have dodged a bullet.
Description of Work: I contracted with the Moving Guys for a move furniture between two homes located about a city block apart in Lakeway, Texas. The Moving Guys failed to perform (see below).
