The salesman, Adam Rice, sold me a microwave and extender over the phone. We wanted our microwave replaced with the same model but it was no longer being manufactured. Adam Rice suggested an alternate. I asked if we needed to hire a contractor to install it but he reassured me that Morrison could handle the installation. Once installed, it was extremely obvious that the microwave and extender were not even remotely similar to the originals and did not fill the space correctly.
I tried to reach Adam Rice numerous times to see how this situation could be resolved but he was always away on "personal" emergencies. The two times I spoke with him, he told me he would get back with me but never did. I then spoke to his supervisor, Dan Byler, who told me the wrong installation was my fault because I "should have asked more questions." I made it very clear in the first conversation that I was not and am not a contractor. Over the next several weeks, I contacted several other individuals at Morrison, each who said he would get back to me and never did. I repeatedly asked Morrison to uninstall/remove the microwave. Finally, I told Dan Byler that I would be disputing the charge on my credit card to which he replied "go head and try it."
After my credit card company removed the charge from my account, Dan Byler emailed me on August 5, 2014 stating that Morrison's office would contact me to uninstall and remove the microwave. I received no further communication from Morrison. On August 20, 2014, I faxed a letter to Morrison stating I would be at the house on August 22, 2014 so that its technician could meet me there between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm to uninstall and remove the microwave. Its technician phoned me on August 21st asking if he could meet me at the house earlier in the morning. He uninstalled and removed the microwave on August 22nd.
On September 30, 2014, Morrison re-posted the charge to my credit card. They told my credit card company that they never picked up the microwave and had delivered the promised goods which were purchased by me. Do not use this company. My guess is that this is how they handle customer service complaints - repeatedly lying to the customer and lying to the credit card companies.
Update: 11/15/2014
The fraud investigator from our credit card disputes department investigated our claim and told us her in her 20 years experience in this industry that she had never seen such a fraudulent and unethical company as Morrison. Morrison did admit to picking up the microwave but refuses to credit back our card.
