Marathon Real Estate goes the distance. As cliche as that sounds - its true. Seven and a half years ago Tausha Carlson and company gave us an introduction into Austin. As first time home buyers we were nervous to examine the details of purchasing; take on the responsibilities of owning; and tend to the nuances of a mortgage. Thankfully Marathon was there every step of the way: Answering questions; providing experienced feedback and insider tips. Fast forward to today, after just having completed the sale of our home. They haven't broken stride. Instead they've matched us every step of the way and made sure our mile split has been nothing short of our personal best. Pushing us and the sale, even with our "I can't do it" reservations, to new levels. As we finish this race, we look back and are reminded of how they've been there, coaching us along the way throughout those seven years —providing property tax alerts; exemption info; mortgage in's and out's— you name it. Point is: they are there if you need them. Thank you Marathon! You've been exceptional! Not only are they top-notch negotiators and advocates for their clients, but they also have hearts of teachers with the expertise to back it up. Even in a seller's market, their local knowledge and connections helped me find a beautiful place within my budget. It went FANTASTIC! My mother's home sold in 1.5 months!!!! My mother had a heart attack and other complications. As her only child and my father passing away unexpectedly prior to her heart attack - I realized that I needed my mother closer to me while still giving her independence. Tausha helped me and my family purchase our home four years ago so I called on her to help with my mom's home. Tausha and her team are professional, strategic, organized, and responsive. During this time, I needed all those things to accomplish selling my mom's home, downsizing her, and finding her a new community. Tausha's team handled the real estate so I could focus on all the "new realities" for my mom. I trust her and her team and I truly can not put a price on how much their work took the stress off of me so I could focus on my mom.

Tausha and her team were wonderful to work with. She prepared a thoughtful and comprehensive analysis of the market for our home and made a pricing recommendation we were very happy with. The house was on the market for four days, we had about fifteen showings, and received three offers above the asking price. Tausha helped us navigate these offers and negotiate the best result. This was our second time working with Tausha and her crew. The first time was 9 years ago looking for our first home. She was so kind and held our hand through the process, found us a quiet affordable neighborhood that we were happy in until outgrowing the home. We had no hesitations calling her up again to help us find another new neighborhood and larger home because she kept in touch all those years. It's like going with her and her team means you also have a new friend who stays in touch (in a real way). We found a house much sooner than we anticipated which caused us to put our home on the market faster than we expected. With the help of her and her team, we got it staged and on the market quick. More impressive, she sold the home and got us multiple offers in less than a week!!! We did exactly what the stager recommended and I strongly believe that had a ton to do with it. I was so stressed but should've known better to trust she knows her stuff. I'll be calling her for our next home purchase again when the time comes :)

Our experience with Tausha, Katy, and Alisa was great! We started looking for a home in October and found an amazing first home shortly thereafter. The process for viewing homes, financing and closing our home was breeze thanks to the the team at Marathon. The team at Marathon understands the Austin market extremely well and should be able to help you find a dream home, like they did for us. We would definitely use/recommend them for future purchases!

I tried one agent, but she was suggesting I price it really low in order to move the property and collect her commission. Meanwhile, Tausha suggested an asking price that was $20K higher, because she had sold five units in my complex already and had a feel for what I could actually fetch. She didn't try to fear-monger, like the other agent. Tausha also laid out a marketing plan, and gave me detailed instructions on timing the staging, photoshoot, marketing materials, etc. She helped me with the negotiation, and I think we got top-dollar.

After searching Angie's List for a realtor and after reading the reviews, we contacted a couple of different realtors. Tausha was the first to respond and sent a questionnaire to narrow down our home search. After replying to the questionnaire, we met with Tausha at her office. Tausha was very personable and provided us with a wealth of useful information to navigate the real estate process. She also set up our personal website with our specific parameters. After sifting through all of the listings and visiting several homes with Katy, Tausha's  assistant, we finally found the perfect home. Tausha was also instrumental during the home inspection phase as well as helping during the closing process. Tausha still remains in contact even after our closing.  We were also pleasantly surprised Tausha donates a portion of her commission to charity! Tausha and Katy were very helpful guiding us through the very stressful home buying market in Austin. We would definitely recommend Tausha for any potential home buyer in the Austin area!

It was great. We just loved Tausha, the realtor. We never needed a realtor but we used a recommendation from a friend. She was great to work with. We had a really good experience with her. I would give her A across the board. I would absolutely use them in the future.

She did a great job. She is very thorough and personable. She helped us find a house we love. Because of her combination of being really personable and enjoyable, she was really pleasant to interact with but at the same I felt like we really trusted her on the business side of things. You want someone who is going to be really enjoyable but at the same when it comes to negotiation side and the financial side, someone who you trust. It?s sometimes hard to find someone who has those two things. She provided good value for money.
