VERY professional team out to deliver. Very professional clerk at the store to help us choose. GREAT price! Great customer service and follow up. We had to replace all appliances in our new house - and Lowes made it very easy to do so.

It went very smoothly. I bought a garbage disposal at Lowes. They offered a $99 installation, which was cheaper than the quoted price from the plumber I used. Lowes contracted the job to Fairway Installation. Two guys showed up exactly on time, were very polite and professional, and installed the disposal in 30 minutes. Lowes followed up with a call to ensure it went well. Very good experience.

I purchased a new hot water heater from Lowe's. I wanted Lowe's to install the hot water heater. They required a $35 pre-inspection fee to determine the scope of work required to meet current code. They indicated they would call me in about a week to ten days with a final installation cost.
After about 3 and half weeks, I realized that Lowe's was not going to call me back. So I called, and they promptly scheduled installation.
Lowe's contracts installation to 3rd parties. In this case, Fairway Installation provided the installation (see separate review). After the installation, the hot water heater pressure dropped considerably, probably by more than half. I asked Fairway if they would backflush the hot water line. They would not do so. I ended up having to pay another plumber additional $200 for backflushing, which fixed the problem.
While it is standard practice for licensed trades to complete their own inspections, Fairway would not do so and indicated it was my responsibility. I indicated that I was not told by either Lowes or Fairway that I would have to administer the inspection. Fairway insists I was told this during installation I would have to administer the inspection. I was never told this. I have done a considerable amount of residential construction in Austin. Inspections associated with trade permits have always been administered by the licensed professional listed on the permit.
When I protested that my having to perform the inspection is an imposition, Fairway indicated they would let the permit expire (ie, the property would become non-compliant) then they hung up on me.
I called Lowe's to speak with them about this, and they were courteous and professional. However, I will not purchase installation services through Lowe's again.

I plan to use them again in the future.

We visit Lowe's a lot of the time, and not just about flooring. Their flooring department is very good. They are very youthful and very knowledgeable, but they are not the ones who put down the flooring. We are searching for someone to do the flooring now. I am greeted when I walk in the door at Lowe's, and when I go to the flooring department, they have people who actually work in that department all the time and know their product, and can give me reasonable advice. I would rather go to Lowe's because of their customer service and knowledge of the product in the department. They do not have a lot of top-of-the-range product in terms of flooring particularly. They have a medium range, and it is probably what people are looking for mostly.

The overall quality of the craftsmanship was good. They provided good service. My overall experience with them has been good.

This all went very smoothly and efficiently. Fran Carter was the salesperson at Lowes- he came to our house, gave us an estimate and contracted with the installers- he was very responsive and reliable. he came to the house to check and see how the project was going.
The floors were sold to us by Wade at Lowes. He coordinated the work with the contractors.
Misty and Maria were two other very responsive people in installation sales who checked every step of the way how things were going. Overall we were very pleased with the level of professionalism and quality of work.

We went in to get windows and found that Lowe's doesn't stock the kind of windows we wanted. They ordered our windows and told us they would be in within a couple of weeks. It took about a week more than they said, but finally our windows came in. We picked them up and had them installed.

EVERYONE FROM THE SALES LADY, TO THE CARPENTERS, WERE VERY NICE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP OUT WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCTS THAT THEY CARRY IN THE STORE. EXPLAINED THE WARRRANTY INFORMATION. WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN
