Long's Furniture Upholstery

I found Long's Upholstery on Angie's list and contacted them (among others) who had received an "A" rating. I love finding a place that is really good at what they do. I was encouraged to send pictures of the jobs prior to driving to their location. I received a prompt call in response to my text. I took my pieces to the shop that afternoon. A day later, I had the two seat cushions back. I did take a chair to the shop as well. This chair did not have a removable cushion. The owner recommended that I NOT have the work done. He could replace the interior, but not with the high quality foam that was original in the chair. I appreciated that he did not just try to upsell his business. I will definitely use Long's again.

I dealt with Mr. Park who was great. He was very responsive and efficient. They did a great job and were ahead of schedule. I will definitely use them again.

The shop seemed a little chaotic and there were some delays in getting the work started and completed but I was very pleased with the final product. I especially appreciated that I could have the chairs refinished and reupholstered at the same place. They did a fabulous job for a reasonable price.

My wife spent half a day getting bids on replacing the upholstery on our dining room set. They seemed pretty tricky to me, and I was expecting to pay $150 or so for each chair. Some places did estimate that much, then she took it to Longs. Long (who is an absolute character by the way) quoted her $75 per chair which was the lowest bid (to be fair one guy she showed it to after Long agreed to do it for that price but only after she told him Long's bid). A few weeks later we got the fabric picked out and dropped the chairs off. It only took them a week to finish the job and the chairs look great!
We certainly recommend him and plan on using him in the future.

He is fantastic. It was not really expensive. He is very prompt. He was right on with his estimate. He picked the sofa up because it was large and delivered it. He did a great job. I did not have enough fabric but he made it work.

I've had Long's upholster quite a few pieces and have always been happy. They do excellent work. The owner is a bit of a character, but knows and appreciates quality and he is reasonable. He gives good advice about the details to make the new upholstery look appropriate with the piece (for example, whether and where to place piping). I've been much happier with Long's than any other place in Austin that I've used.

Mr. Long, owner of the business, is very prompt to pick up furniture, get it repaired or upholstered, very quick to furnish estimates of cost and estimate amount of fabric to buy. He also recognizes the quality of furniture and can advise as to whether it is worth reupholstering. His prices are very reasonable, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. He is very cordial and agreeable to work with.
