I had a representative, Curtis Woodlock, of ATX Roofing come to my door offering his services to replace my roof due to storms. I did have some damage but I hadn't filed a claim as of yet. Curtis seemed like a good guy we talked a while he gave me a birds eye glance of things. I took his card. Pulling up Angies I was able to find ATX Roofing though when I entered roofing for my area they didn't show in the resultset..uncertain as to why. They were listed with (License: Yes, Bonded: Yes, Insured Yes, Free Estimate: Yes) I later sent Curtis an email at his email address (
[email protected]). I mentioned he had stopped bye and asked if he could come and give me an estimate for the work needed. Primarily I wanted him to let me know in his professional opinion if my roof was damaged enough that would warrant replacement by my insurance. His response to me was surprisingly rude. He went on a tyraid about fraud against insurance companies, how it was illegal etc. He did a lot of it in all capital letters i.e. screaming at me. The other odd thing was he responded from
[email protected] with a signiture of Curtis Woodlock Texas Triangle Services, LLC? This I felt was odd..I thought I was dealing with ATX Roofing?? I responded that I had no intention of fraud I simply wanted an estimate and their professional opinion on the damage to the roof. At this point I felt we were done. I wasn't going to mention anything here about it. Several days later he responded to me again...and again he was rude. He said "I needed" to re-read his first several lines and ignore the last 3 lines of his previous note. That an esimtate was a waste of his time. This time I responded saying he should stop "Yelling" at me in all caps that it was rude. I then repeated what I primarily wanted was their professional opinion on the damage to the roof. I also added several other questions...i.e. Is the company licensed, Bonded, Insured and could he provide proof thereof. This time he responded with all shouting caps again putting words in my mouth saying that "I AM CLUELESS AS TO HOW IT ALL WORKS" and that I had no idea what I was saying that bonds are required and asserting a license didn't exist. I had never insisted on these things I merely asked if they had them and if so could they provide proof. Also, I'll refer back to the listing itself which had these very classifications i.e. License, Bonded, Insurance and Free Estimates indicated as "Yes". I told him he'd provided enough information for me to easily decide not to go with them and the he needn't respond any more. But he couldn't resist sending another response telling me I had no brain lol. I can't attest to any of their work and it's possible this individual is merely a contracted sales agent..I'm not sure. But ff this is how these guys communicate and deal with potential customers I can't fathom what it would be like to try and resolve a problem with them.
