Lakeway Tree Experts came to my property on April 16, 2021. I had several cedar trees at the back of my lot that were damaged by the winter storm, some to the point that they needed to be removed completely. Others only required pruning. Anthony and John were the technicians that came to do the work. Both men worked very hard over a 2-1/2 hour period to get the job done. They were both very courteous and friendly throughout the duration of the job. They listened to and addressed all of my concerns. Anthony and John did a super job of removing and pruning my damaged cedar trees and cleaned up my driveway before they left. I will not hesitate to hire Lakeway Tree Experts again.

After meeting with several tree service companies, I chose to hire Lakeway Tree Experts because of their (1) knowledge of and expertise with oak trees, formalized by their Texas Forest Service Oak Wilt Certification, (2) Arlen's patience with and thorough responses to my many questions and concerns during the quote visit, and (3) affordability. Upon arrival on the day of service, Christian introduced himself and his team. We walked my property and reviewed the scope of work. I pointed out areas of concern. Christian was attentive and focused on understanding my expectations. For this job, I was especially watchful because all but one of my trees on my property are live oak and there is oak wilt in my neighborhood. Christian’s team was very professional; they cleaned their tools and were diligent with spraying cuts. I also had a large branch removed that hung too low over my house. I was pleased with the care the team demonstrated to ensure neither my house nor any of my pots/planters/furniture were damaged during the removal. Christian regularly checked-in with me as they moved around my property to get my feedback on work, making sure I was happy with the result. On the one occasion when I wanted more to be removed from a large shrub, Christian had no issues with going back over it again. After the job was complete, the team picked up all the limbs, and raked and used a leaf-blower to gather up all the small debris. They actually left my front yard in better condition than it was prior to the service. I was very happy with the service and treatment I received from LTE. I highly-recommend them.

Tree still sick. May need to remove. Fertilization was hope that it would get better.

Owner Arlen Fisher was very helpful over the phone when I called to ask about my oak-wilt situation. He sounded very knowledgeable and experienced, so I decided to employ his company, Lakeway Tree Experts (who are one of only three certified oak-wilt vendors in Austin), instead of the other two that I had contacted. When Lastin came out to treat our many live oaks, he too was knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, hard-working and an excellent communicator and listener. Now we are planning to also use their services for regular fertilization and insect control. I highly recommend Lakeway Tree Experts.

Best.service.EVER. Seriously, the owner and the crew were awesome. I have no complaints. Price was reasonable. I will contact again after June so the live oaks can be trimmed safely per the Live Oak Ordinance.

Arlen responded quickly to my call and came out to survey work to be done.  Last fall Lakeway Tree Service did a roof clearance before a new roof was installed.  We were impressed then, so went back to them for an overall upkeep of our many different trees. Arlen's estimate was very reasonable compared to what neighbors paid for similar services.  Lakeway Tree Service provided three full days of meticulous work, leaving our yard looking much, much better and healthier than before.  Lakeway Tree Service checked with us before each major pruning to make sure we were in agreement - their judgement was always good.  What impressed us most was the attention to detail.  Each element was followed with cleanup, and early morning starts (in difficult heat/humidity) were always only with hand tools so neighbors were not disturbed.  The only time power tools were run was in the middle of the day when either no one was home or everyone was inside.  Safety was also impressive.  As was the case last time, more work was done than originally planned, but Arlen stuck to his estimate.  We're having LTS come back later to deal with mistletoe and palm fruit issues that can't be handled now.  LTS is absolutely first rate and great value for money.  They know their stuff and have the right equipment for all tasks.  HIGHLY recommended.

Knowledgeable, efficient, informative, and honest professional arborist greatly improved the health and looks of our lawn, shrubs, and mature trees even better than expected.  My husband and I waited a couple months to submit this review in order to ensure that the deep root tree & shrub fertilization technique as well as the surface lawn fertilization applications worked well and we can already see a dramatic difference.   We'll be asking Lakeway Tree Experts back again this winter or spring to remove mistletoe from a tree that would otherwise likely succumb to the parasitic growth.  Thank you, Arlen.  Our trees love you.

Arlen and his crew of two arrived timely. They did a beautiful job and left the yard free of branches and twigs.

They gave us recommendations for maintaining our trees. Would definitely hire them back.

Arlen was very responsive when I called for a free estimate to clean up the trees on my property.  He came out, walked the property and talked to us about what was happening with all the trees, including identifying the types of trees we had, which we weren't sure of.  We had a pear tree that was diseased and he explained how that occurs and that it could not be saved.  We also had a dead tree that needed to be removed as well as a small tree that was crowding two larger trees and threatening their health.  So it needed to be removed.  He didn't want to remove ANY trees if he didn't have to as their motto is "We Save Trees".   And that was very refreshing.  However, we agreed that these 3 trees needed to come out.  I got 2 other estimates and I inquired about a third but the company wouldn't give me a free estimate because they would have to drive all the way to Lakeway.  So we didn't use them.  Of the two estimates I did get, Lakeway Tree Expert was the lowest.  But honestly, we went with Arlen because of his knowledge and his professionalism during the estimate.  So we hired him to do the work.  He removed the three trees down to the ground and got as close to ground level as he could, which would allow us to mow easily over and around the stumps. Because he got the stumps so low to the ground, we didn't have to pay the extra cost of having the stumps removed.  He then  proceeded to prune all the other trees on the property, cleaning out dead limbs and raising the overall canopy.  And he hauled off all the debris including brush and limbs that we had in the backyard left from previous tree trimming we did ourselves.  Arlen and his team were prompt, they arrived when they said they would and got to work right away.  He told me how long it would take to perform the job and he was pretty close to his estimate of time.  The final cost was exactly what he quoted in the estimate....again, very refreshing.  We will be using Lakeway Tree Experts again when we need tree service.  Very professional and efficient and reasonably priced.  Our trees never looked better!

Very good experience.  Arlen responded promptly to my inquiry call and provided several options and recommendations in a friendly, consultative manner.  Better yet, Arlen and his crew performed the service on the date promised and within the time frame promised.  They did a thorough job including including debris clean-up.  Will definitely call Lakeway Tree Experts the next time I need tree service.

Following a hail storm, we have to have our roof replaced.  I called Arlen to come by and tell me how much it would cost to clear all branches so that the roofers would have no obstructions.  He and I agreed on an estimate and set a date.  Arlen and his crew arrived on time, did the work (and more), cleaned up scrupulously, and left for another job.  I was impressed with the team's organization, attention to safety (somebody was holding the ladder any time someone was on a ladder) and clear professionalism. The team each had jobs, set to work, and didn't get in each other's way.  When the chipper/shredder was used, one team member operated it, and he donned safety goggles, ear protection, heavy gloves, and other safety gear -- nothing haphazard or unsafe dealing with a dangerous piece of equipment.  When complete, the invoice was exactly as per the estimate, and the roof is now clear. I intend to have Arlen come by in the spring to advise me on what needs pruning, elimination, and encouragement. Add to that, his team is courteous (all spoke when arriving at the work scene and said farewell on departure) and proud of their work. It's great to find a local business so clearly focused on customer satisfaction.

Great Experience...  very knowledgeable - very reasonable pricing.  We have paid extra to treat young oak tree for fungus.

These guys are the best. There is a big difference between having a Certified Arborist on staff vs one that is actually doing the work! They do it right!
They took the time to trim the trees and step back and look at the overall work to make sure the trimming was balanced and looked great from all angles.  
I originally contacted them unknowingly in a month where oak trees are not supposed to be trimmed because of the danger of oak wilt. They did the right thing and waited until the proper time. With them it wasn't about get in and make a quick buck", it was wait and do it at the right time. 
My trees  now look great! I highly recommend them for any tree work and I am a customer for life!

It went well.  He did exactly what he said he was going to do and he cleaned it up very well.  No debris left behind.

I called Lakeway Tree experts to come examine my trees and shrubs, they were getting a yellow tent to them. Their response time was empressive they came out on the same day I called. The very professional, and presentable arborist went through my whole property with me and was very patient also answered everyone of my questions. He reassured me they were all going to be saveable, they were just low on iron with a slight case of herbiside damage. The treatment he performed was a couple of root feeds that is schedule all in a months time. I highly recommend this tree service to anyone who ask my opinion.

I called Lakeway Tree Experts to give me a bid on some of my most beloved trees at my house. The owner Arlen Fisher came out and was prompt, professional and very polite. He gave me the estimate, and I hired him right away. We scheduled the job that week and within a few days the job was finished. He pruned and removed all the deadwood from my trees. I signed up for a program that Arlen provides that allows him to service my trees regularly throughout the year, that way I don't have to worry about it in the future. The program included feeding my trees and checking for Oak Wilt and any other potential problems that might arise.
