KAS Contracting is an excellent company, professional, thorough, experienced AND FRIENDLY. They did the job quickly, yet beautifully. I worked with Erik Velez and he was one of the best professionals I’ve ever worked with. He was always available to answer my questions, he worked with my schedule and he never acted unprofessionally. I can’t say enough good things about this company.

John Sauer did a great job following up with me, after the job was done, to see if there was anything they could have done better. There were some plants that had broken branches, and some of the low voltage landscape lights that were broken off by falling shingles. So I just want to recommend that people be prepared to personally remove anything below the roof that might be damaged by the falling (old) shingles. (potted plants, bird baths, holiday decorations, landscape lights, patio furniture, etc.). Otherwise they did a great job replacing a 3100+ SF roof,and finished the job in just 3 days.

After having 6 roofers provide estimates for my roof replacement (and quite frankly I wasn't pleased with any of them), I stumbled across the Home Advisor website and provided my information. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from John Sauer of Kas Contracting. He scheduled time to meet and came by the house. He was extremely professional. I had another contractor at the house at the time, and we worked around him. He got up on the roof, did his assessment, and upon coming down he agreed to send me an estimate. His estimate was within the range that I was expecting to pay, and the products that he used were better than most, so I agreed to have him do the roof. Having a roof done is a pain, (banging on the roof, debris coming off your roof, etc.), but his workers kept the pain to a minimum. After the job was complete, they cleaned up nicely (you wouldn't even know they were there). Upon completion, I was very pleased. The roof is perfect! Shortly thereafter, I had my gutters replaced by John. John selected the color, and upon completion, I was very pleased. Working with John Sauer and his company, Kas Contracting, has actually been a pleasure. I knew as soon as I met John that he was an honest man (which is hard to find in the roofing business). After the project was complete, I had one item that needed to be changed due to the fact that I am having solar installed on my roof. John was exceptional, had his contractor out the next day to make the change. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Kas Contracting if you are looking for a roofer. They are honest, prices are reasonable, and do a great job. John has been very responsive to any questions or concerns that I have, even after paying him. They are truly exceptional.

From the start, I was impressed by how quickly Kas Contracting responded to our inquiry. John Sauer contacted me immediately and set up an appointment to inspect our roof on the same day. John arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of the roof. We received the bid promptly which was very competitive and we accepted. While we had other bids at similar value, either the proposed product was inferior or something else was missing. I would also add that communication was top notch from start to completion. The crew that installed the roof was professional and courteous. Finally, I would add what an exceptional job they did in cleaning up after the work. They scoured the yard (front, back, and sides) for debris and nails, etc. Great job Kas Contracting and John Sauer.

Matter of fact it was taking that extra step in attention to detail in helping us go with the right shingle that put them ahead of the other bids we got. Erik Velez was great at following up with me and the insurance company. John, the owner, came out during installation and after to address questions I had. The roofing team worked their butts off on a brutally hot day. I am very pleased with the service I received and the quality of work.
