Why advertise on Angies List if you're going to simply ignore potential customers?

I am so greatly disappointed in this company (and now upset) that it's difficult to know where to start.
I've used Just Right Lawns as a service for nearly 2 years for two of my properties which are just regular 3 bedroom homes in residential communities. JRL comes out twice a month most of the year, with a reduced winter schedule, of course. Well, I PAY them to come out twice a month, but invariably I receive "delay" e-mails for various reasons. The latest was that someone was sick, but they ensured us subscribers that they were getting other crews out and working around the clock, and so on and so forth...which was a crock of bull. My lawn is over 2 feet tall in some places. It's the eye-sore of the neighborhood!
My guests at one property wrote to complain to me about how awful the lawn is! I PAY a service so that I can have my lawn looking good all year round and not have to worry about it. The reviews from my guests is essential to my success and livelihood. JRL is costing me reviews, which could lose guests, which causes me to lose money.
Now, the lousy customer service.
So, I write to complain and they said I'm scheduled again for this coming Thursday and she says that that's going to be skipped too, for some reason! And that they will get to it this weekend. Already furious I expressed to them how I shouldn't have to pay for missed services. She tells me that as compensation I can have 30% off my service. CAN YOU IMAGINE!? An already upset customer and they have the nerve to suggest such a ridiculous discount? That's not how you handle customers or diffuse someone who is angry; this gets them more angry. I wrote something back and got a CANNED message that totally didn't have
anything to do which the discussion. That really infuriated me. So I wrote again. Finally I got Cindy and she (with common sense) said the next service would be free and that it would be done this weekend.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday pass... still not done!
( Follow up: Today is Monday and a friend went by the house and checked and see that they just did it today. But I think the damage is done... too many weeks of no mowing, unsightly lawn, guest complaints, and worst of all... JRL showed me they have lousy customer service.)
My lawn is the WORST lawn on the block... thanks to Just Right Lawns.
(Yes, I am already using Google to try to find other lawn services!)
