Wow, My AC went out a little over two weeks ago when it was really HOT. I called another company who came out and told me I had a massive leak and I needed to replace the coil and the compressor, they were 9.5 years old. I also had a furnace that was 19 years old. Well the guy to his credit did not charge me for the call. He had someone email me some quotes. I called another company to get a second opinion. They came out and charged me to look at the system, they did not do anything. He had a guy come out and quote me on replacing the whole system. AC and Furnace. I got a third quote. I happened to talk to a friend a few days later before I made a decision. He recommended John. I called Wrigley a little after a week of no AC. Lucky there was rain came to cool things off. John came out and told me I did not need to replace everything, I could replace some parts and recharge the system. I told him I was concerned about the age of the system and the fact that the R22 was being phased out. He said have me a quote on the spot for replacing the part and recharging the system. With the cost of that, I asked him to quote me a new system. If his quote for the entire system was similar to the others I had I would fix the one I had. To my surprise the quote on the system I was looking at from two other companies was quite bit lower. I called John to ensure we had the right system. for my house. He assured me it was. The time between the first quotes and John's was a week or more. Not once did anyone call to tell me they wanted my business. I called John and awarded him the business. I decided to replace the whole system. We scheduled it and John and his guys came out and did the job very efficiently. They were nice and cleaned up after themselves. Very impressed. Edit

After another provider on here (who is also highly rated on here) told me I needed a new blower motor for my HVAC, and wanted to charge me nearly $800 for it, I called Wrigley for a second opinion (after researching online and finding out that the part only cost $150). I turns out that the problem was completely misdiagnosed by the first provider, who had actually replaced the capacitor temporarily and made the unit work, but then left without leaving it in, leaving me in freezing weather with no working heater. The first provider not only wrongly told me that I needed a new motor, they also strongly suggested that I replace my whole HVAC unit. And all that really needed replacing was the capacitor (a $60 part). Wrigley told me that if the motor had needed fixing, he would have replaced it for around $350.

The installation took a long time, but the crew was very good and polite and cleaned up after themselves. We used them on a recommendation of someone we trust. The way the business is run is very reputable. The owner went above and beyond to take care of us.

The work done went well. I liked everything about them except when we asked them for a bid for a new unit, but they never gave us one. So we had to go to another company to buy the unit. However, they are excellent when it comes to the repair work. They are prompt and dependable as well. We read some good reviews about them online. They never sent us a bill and never let us pay. So they are great with the repairs. I think they don?t like to do new units. We would have probably used their services if we got a bid from them. We would use their services again for repairs.

The initial work was fine from start to finish. It was the follow thru that was not that good.

I called the company Friday morning and was told that someone could be here Saturday morning. The service man arrived on time and did his work quickly and efficiently. The only charge was for the service call.

Solved problem. Solves problems. Doesn't try to sell new units when he can fix the old one.

Each year I call John and he restores the two units in my home to perfect running condition. This year he came out three times as there was a stripped wire that kept shorting out. He comes the day after I call him, and he's wonderful. For some reason, I have never received a bill so I keep asking if I can give him a check when he comes, which he has not yet accepted.
