Pros: Nice body work, complimentary detailing Cons: They discharged and broke my battery while working on my repairs, neglected to inform me of it, let me pick up and drive my car home with a faulty battery, and refused to take responsibility for the situation when I went to confront them about it a day later when my battery died. Also, the staff was rude and unprofessional, the repairs took double the amount of time as anticipated, and the repairs were more expensive than other shops around. I chose this shop to get some body work done to my rear bumper and taillight on my 2012 Honda Civic based on the glowing reviews. It ended up being the most negative car repair experience I have ever had. They told me the repairs would take about 3 days and ended up taking 7 days – OK, no big deal, they did warn me that it could take a bit longer based on the internal damage that wasn’t clearly visible from the exterior. The staff wasn’t super friendly or helpful, but I cared more about the repairs being done properly, and this place had amazing reviews so I trusted them with my car. When I went to pick up my car, it looked great. As soon as I drove out of the shop, my gas and break pedals felt different (different amount of pressure needed). I didn’t think much of it. The next morning, my car wouldn’t start, and I had warning lights on all over my dash. The timing of this seemed suspicious, so I called the shop to see if they had noticed anything or done anything that could have caused this. They casually told me on the phone that my car had battery issues while they had it in their shop and that I had a faulty battery. Mind you, they neglected to mention this in the entirety of the 7 days they had my car, and also did not mention it when I came to pick up my car. My battery was fine prior to dropping off my car (2 years old), and had been recently checked by my mechanic as part of a full vehicle inspection. It was obvious to me that they had likely left a light on or door open while they were working on the car, discharged my battery, jump started it before I picked it up, and neglected to share any of this information with me. Not to mention, letting me drive home with a knowingly faulty battery. Needless to say, I was livid. They performed $4,500 of repairs, had my car for 7 days, and did not inform me of any battery issues that occurred while my car was in their hands. I went to the shop to discuss this with them, and was immediately met with resistance and evasion on their end. Four of their employees came out to talk to me and give me a lecture on the specifics of battery operation and tried to convince me my battery was bad before they repaired my car, which was clearly not the case. One single male employee who had some integrity finally half-heartedly admitted that something went wrong with the battery while it was in their shop, and suggested we ask my insurance to cover it (since all the repairs were being covered by my insurance). I stood my ground and insisted their shop should cover it since it was an error on their end, and that my insurance had nothing to do with the situation. This one employee finally ended up giving me $200 cash to pay for my battery replacement, while the rest of the staff refused to take any responsibility or even talk to me politely and acknowledge my grievances. Overall, the entire situation and experience was uncomfortable, sketchy, and their staff was nothing short of unpleasant and ill-mannered. Needless to say, I would never give this shop service again, or recommend this shop to any of my friends/family. I am surprised by the glowing reviews this shop has online, and wonder how or why my experience here was so drastically different from others’ experiences.

We had a comparable experience with the same car. About 2 years ago, our Prius had another small collision damage from a hit-and-run driver and was repaired in a national chain auto shop. They only used after-market parts as a matter of policy and they left noticeable signs of repair. Also, a few years ago, my 20-year-old Toyota truck needed a new rear-end bumper. Additionally, the truck’s chassis had small damage and was not straight. I knew it would be hard work to install a new one. Both of these were small jobs and I didn’t know if there would be a mechanic who would want to take on this job for such an old truck. When I contacted Jeff’s, Joe said he would do this for me and he did excellent work at a reasonable price. Jeff’s shop is local, honest and experienced. They do excellent work and they are particularly hard working as they serve the best of their customer’s interests. I’d more than happy to recommend this shop to any customers for auto body work.

I dropped my Escalade off for a bumper repair and a door dent $4300 back in October. This price also included a "PRE and POST" scan of the computer system. I keep my vehicle in pristine condition which is why spending 4300 on minor blemishes was important to me. The repair took 2 weeks longer than they quoted. During the month long stay the only updates I received is when I called them. When I went to pick the truck up on a Friday afternoon my advisor Brandon showed me a "burn" mark on the right side of the bumper and asked I could bring it back one day for a "free buff" to remove the burn marks. I'm thinking this should've already been done but I'm easy going so no big deal. I get in and drive off and notice the info screen was on the "home screen" and I keep it on the audio station. It's a touch screen but was not working and stuck on the home screen. I called the shop and mentioned the issue and they asked me to come back so they could scan it. This is also the screen that allows incoming calls to be answered on blue tooth. This is important to me because I take a lot of incoming calls while driving. Long story short they charged me for a pre and post scan which they didn't do. Had they done the pre scan we would have proof that there were no trouble codes for the Cue system which there are now. They claim that both pre and post scans are not showing up in Mitchell which anyone that works in automotive knows this is complete BS and a bold face lie! At one point in time Jeff's Auto Body was the best in town, no question about it. Not anymore though.

I have done business with Jeff's for more than a decade and have referred a lot of business to them over the years. None of that history matters at Jeff's and that's something you should be VERY concerned about. It means that when you hit a snag with these guys, it doesn't matter to them one bit the extent to which you've been a loyal customer. Case in point: They did some work on my Audi after it was hit on the driver's side door in a parking lot. Ultimately, they had to replace the door. As I learned later from my car dealership's service department, when Jeff's did the work they failed to reconnect several connections in the door, resulting in my keyless entry not working. It ended up costing me a little over a hundred bucks to have the dealership figure this issue out and correct it. I asked Jeff's to reimburse me for what I had to pay the dealership to fix the problem. My initial contact was the unnamed woman who answered the phone. She told me, in an incredibly rude and condescending way, that they would not reimburse me for the work. After getting in contact with Jeff, he told me "of course" he would reimburse the cost, confirmed my mailing address and thanked for my many years business. After several weeks passed and at least 1 more promise to send payment, Jeff told me that I needed to drive across town to the shop in order to receive payment. I declined (it's about a 30 minute drive for me) and again asked him to simply drop the payment in the mail (and even offered to pay the postage). Two more months have passed and I still haven't received anything from these guys. I know the real issue is that the unnamed woman (who I've had a previously negative expereince with) won't let him send a check. I'm a lawyer and could easily sue these guys and get my money back, but I've decided that it and they are just not worth the effort. Instead, I want to make sure that everyone knows what kind of business Jeff's really is. If everything goes smoothly, they're decent, but if you have a problem of any sort and the unnamed woman gets involved, rest assured that Jeff will do whatever she wants him to do. So, considered yourself duly warned and seriously think about taking your business to another body shop.

Jeff's Auto Body did a great job on the repairs - you couldn't tell the collision ever happened. It did take them a couple of months to complete the work, which seemed a little on the long side, but the quality of the repairs were top-notch so that didn't bother me.

I backed into a pole recently and damaged the front passenger panel on our Fiat 500.  The local Fiat dealer does not do body work, but they referred me to their recommended shop - which provided an estimate of approximately $1,350.  I then used Angie's List to find Jeff's Auto Body, which charged me $850. The completed work looks fantastic - even the painting is perfect.  What I liked best, is when I first took the car to Jeff's, he recommended seeing a "dent specialist" first because he thought the dent could be banged out.  The dent shop said it would not work, so I went back to Jeff and had the work done.  That showed me that Jeff was not out for the money, but was looking out for my best interest.  I did have to wait several weeks for the work, because the part was on back order.

This is the only shop in Austin I trust to take a wrecked car. This is the 2nd time I've taken this particular vehicle to Jeff's and I couldn't ask for better service and quality. This is a family run business and it shows in attention to detail. The entire right side of my wife's Odyssey needed to be repaired and the insurance company just wanted them to fill the right side with body filler. Joe Sessler fought the insurance company for new door skins which was the proper avenue of repair and got it approved. There were no paint issues as well as no color match issues. If you have to wait to get in for repairs it is definitely worth the wait.

From the start, Donny presented himself as very confident and professional, leaving me with no doubt that this would be a good experience.  Another large local body shop that provided a quotation stated that our 3-level pearl paint would be difficult to match, even before I had a chance to ask.  Donny assured me that they would be able to match the color and true to his word, it is an exact match to the factory color.  It looks as good as it did the day we drove it off the lot about 1 year ago.  The wash and detail also came out above expectations.  It is rare to see this level of customer service and hence the reason for this review.  I would without hesitation recommend Jeff's Auto Body and will use them again in the future.

Couldn't have been better. Knew I was in good hands when Joe not only quickly identified work to be done, he clearly understood all the Ins and outs of insurance coverage, which rental car company to use for a loaner, etc. When the work was done they actually brought the car to me and took the loaner back for me, since my crazy work schedule prohibited it. It was also sparkling clean. They kept me apprised of progress and were courteous and professional every step of the way. As a single woman who doesn't know about cars, I was extremely grateful that I could rely on their honesty and integrity. This is where you want to go!

I received heavy hail damage to my vehicle from a recent storm and looked at all of the reviews from Yelp and Angie's list and decided to try Jeff's Auto Body since they were so highly rated.  I had previous work done at Caliber Collision and the work was just OK.  So I called Jeff's and Joe handled the repair.   The insurance estimate was low and called for repairing the hood and other areas.  Joe did an evaluation of the damage and contacted the insurance company and took care of the revised estimate including a new hood.
I just got the vehicle back after the repair work and the quality of the repair and paint job are outstanding.  The vehicle looks as good as new and the paint is flawless.  I will always come back to Jeff's for any future auto body work.   I would highly recommend them.
