Our TV sometimes turned off automatically the display while we were watching. This seemed to happen randomly and only affected the display, not the sound. Otherwise the TV worked perfectly fine with excellent video and audio performance. When Essie, the technician, picked up the TV at our house, we showed him that in principle the TV worked fine. The technician explained, as mentioned before on the phone, that the problem was most likely caused by the power supply, which would cost $300 + labor. When they called us back with the results of their evaluation, we were surprised to learn that the motherboard (not the power supply!) needed to be replaced. The cost for the repair would be ~$900. We decided not to repair the TV and have it just returned to us. Initially Arrow HD-TV did not return our phone calls to schedule a delivery of our TV. After four phone calls and more than 2 weeks, the TV was finally delivered back to us on 3/29/2010. We paid Arrow TV the evaluation fee of $59. We made the mistake not to check the TV when it was returned. When we later tried to turn on the TV, it was not working at all, neither video nor audio output. In an attempt to figure out what happened we called Arrow TV on April 2nd 2010. After describing the problem of the now unusable TV, the person on the phone became very defensive and just ended the phone call in the middle of the conversation without any attempt to resolve the issue. A second attempt to resolve this dispute via phone was unsuccessful, too, as HD-TV's representative again ended the phone call in the middle of the conversation. Summary: Arrow TV has received a high end Plasma TV set that performed perfectly in terms of video and audio quality. The TV always turned on and was usable. While evaluating the TV, Arrow HD- TV has damaged the TV to the point that it is completely unusable. Arrow TV is not interested at all to resolve this issue.
