I had my architect forward the CAD files for the site plan well in advance of when they would need the information. I should have known that there was something awry when I started emailing to confirm that they had received the CAD and never got a response. I had the architect send the information again. We got no response to the inquiry whether they had received the CAD previously. Subsequent to this, I called and emailed the company several times to remind them of when I was going to be in town and that I was counting on this work to be completed so that I could schedule and conduct my meetings with sub-contractors. When I arrived in town, the work had not been completed. I spent two more days attempting to contact surveyor about the work. I was finally told in email without explanation I would have to find another surveyor. I was really left in a bind over this. This all could have been avoided if they had been professional enough to tell me they couldn't get to the work.
