Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
HGL is more than a handyman company, rather an experienced general contractor who takes on small projects and executes the work both personally and through his proprietary network of skilled specialists. Clay is a joy to work with, always pleasant, always helpful with a great can-do attitude. I employed HGL for multiple projects and all were completed to my full satisfaction. Clay lives up to is promise to get it right and one project turned out to be more complex than expected. Clay stayed with it until finished and absorbed some of the extra cost. Projects included roofing repairs, replacing exterior door, repainting, refinishing front door, replacing water damage, rodent intrusion points, etc.

Clayton is very user friendly and he is very good at what he does, he takes his time to do quality work, takes pride in his job, prices are reasonable and very competitive . We had a kick in door jam and after he fixed the side, i do not find anything different , just like new. Highly recommended handyman!

Built-In Furniture - Construct
Clay at HGL Construction was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had him build a giant ( 14â x 8â ) entertainment center for our living room, and he knocked it out of the park! His communication is top notch and the final product came in exactly as weâ d hoped! Clay mentioned this was his favorite type of project to take on, and it showed from the moment we first made contact. He asked a lot of good questions at the start to get a feel for what we were looking for. Once we were on the same page and agreed to a price, he started with the design right away - he stayed up nearly all night that first night because he was so excited! He had an initial design within a day, and after a couple messages back and forth we had a final design. He sent progress pictures and checked in with regularity, and he made sure to ask our preferences through the build process. Once it was complete, the installation process went just as smoothly as the rest. He even did some touch-up paint at the end and gave us the leftover paint and a brush in case we needed it! If youâ ve read this far, youâ re ready for the punchline: Clay at HGL is the single most professional contractor weâ ve ever worked with. His prices are fair, he does great work, and heâ s full of good vibes! We will certainly be using him again in the future, and we will refer our friends and family to him without a second thought! Clay did not arrive with everything to do the job. Had to stop and go to Home Depot for paint rollers and texture and then asked if I had any paint brushes. He installed the grab bars and towel rod, repaired damage to drywall, textured as requested and painted the bathroom ceiling, but ran out of time to paint the walls. Left with plastic on floor and sink and only half the painter tape in place - oh, and not available to finish the job for a week! I finished the work myself.

"I hate for anybody to not be completely satisfied. I am glad that you were happy with the quality of work that I did, it sounds like the biggest frustration was that I could not paint your entire bathroom and had to leave. Keep in mind, you added that part to the job relatively last minute, and I just did not schedule enough time to get all of that done. Anyhow, I could have communicated that better and/or fit you in sooner to get it done by working late or on a weekend, that is something I should have done. However, it seemed like you had it covered and we are going to get your son to do it with you the next day. So I did not worry about it too much."
