Hestia Construction and Design

Hestia Constriction and Design, owned by Hannah Valentine Coody and Jesse Coody, is not a legitimate construction company. We lived a full year in dust and debris, and nothing meaningful had been accomplished toward the renovation of two small bathrooms. Electrical wires hung down from the ceiling. There were problems with electrical work, plumbing and tiling and they didn't follow Austin building codes. And we were told by Project Managers and the workers themselves that they often did not get paid by Hestia. There was no communication. After a year of frustration, we despaired and took them to court. The Judge awarded us $50,000, but after more than six months, we haven't received a dime. Don't be fooled by their smooth talk and fancy office. It's a scam.

From first phone call personnel changed weekly and sometimes more often. There was no consistency. Once we signed and paid 1/2 it was a revolving door of people "to manage the project". this set off red flags for me. I canceled the contract afraid of the consistency and workmanship I would receive on my primary residence and the time frame it would take. I requested a refund 3 times from Hestia and never received it or any indication or acknowledgement of when I would. Stay away unless you just want to lose money.
