Henderson Plumbing has provided plumbing services for us for years. His quality of work is why we continue to use his services. His price is fair and comparable. He is friendly and arrives on time.

Dave showed up right on time despite my forgetting to turn my phone on to confirm. He got right to work but there the "professionalism" ended for me. His "clearing" of my stopped up sink consisted of unhooking the drain lifter (which I knew how to do myself) extracting a drain plug full of crud, hair and soap which he handed to ME to go clean (!!!!) and when I returned it he said, "I'm just going to leave your lifter disconnected so you can easily take this plug out and clean it." NOW the drain lifter completely doesn't work (it's unhooked!!) so if I want to drain my sink I have to pry the stopper out with my fingernails, and to fill the sink, shove it down with my fingers. Not very classy -- for $120!!!!! Of course I will reconnect it -- myself!!!! He tightened the faucet handles which took about 10 seconds, and the rest of the "job" took less than 5 minutes. For this "service" Mr. Henderson charged me $120 which included $90 for "an hour" (???) of labor PLUS $28 for a "service call" (shouldn't that have been included)? Plus (of course) sales tax. When I looked (I'm sure) totally shocked he said, "You're paying for my 30 years of expertise." I should have asked what he charged before he came over, of course. But I've never been charged so much for such a ridiculously small amount of work before, especially with a serious underlying issue, which again I explained was why I had called a pro -- I could have cleared the "clot" myself; I wanted a pro to check for anything more serious in the drain itself!! I explained this concern both when he arrived and in my initial voicemail. This plumber came highly recommended by a neighbor and good friend so that was another reason I trusted and didn't question him up front about price, assuming he would be fair and reasonable. Boy was that a huge mistake on my part. I'm very disappointed; I took a couple of days to cool off before writing this but I feel completely ripped off. I wanted him to check the drain with a snake to make sure there was no further blockage and do any other necessary tests but he ran the water for about one second and he said "the drain is fine." Sure hope so -- $120 dollars later, for something I did half the work on myself!! Given what he actually did, I feel he really stuck it to me to charge me that much.

He is very professional and polite. He fixed everything that I asked and helped me get a replacement part which was under warranty.

They were very responsive, showed up on time, and repaired the problem efficiently. I thought their price was very fair for the work performed.

He is great. He actually shows up when he says he going to show up, he is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping make decisions. They have a fair price.
