Greenbelt Solar

This was our 2nd solar panel installation with Greenbelt Solar. After we moved into our new home, we called Greenbelt right away to figure out what the best system size and design was for this home. Adi was resourceful and very helpful, just like the first time. We discussed many options (most effective orientation, micro or central inverters, and type of solar panels). He has the same crew that did an excellent job the last time, and I was glad to see they were going be installing this system too. It took no more than a few days to install it, and he even managed to schedule a city inspection during the busy holiday season. I highly recommend Greenbelt Solar for their workmanship on photovoltaic solar panel systems. 

The crew was at our residence for 5 days for the install which was the time initially conveyed to us for the job - so no surprises. The crew arrived promptly early each morning and worked diligently for 5-6 hours until the weather became too hot in the early afternoon. The crew's work and work ethic were professional. The workers were very knowledgeable in their activities and were always considerate to our property and us. The work area was clean and spotless each day after they left. Each crewmember appeared to have his duties to perform and conducted those duties with little supervision, although one of the owners of Greenbelt Solar was always present to help and advise when necessary. This was a very well orchestrated install. After the panels had been installed and the switch was turned on, everything worked and the panels were generating electricity. Everything went well from our original contact with Greenbelt Solar via email and telephone, through the initial onsite visit for proper measurement, to the panel installations. Greenbelt Solar listened to our needs and concerns and answered all questions to our satisfaction. After listening to our desires, Greenbelt Solar initially prepared three estimates for 48 panels for us to consider - one for a roof-mount installation and two for ground-mount installations. We asked for and Greenbelt Solar provided pros and cons for each type of installation. With our decision to proceed with the roof-mount system, an onsite visit for measurements was scheduled and Greenbelt Solar determined that 51 panels could be installed. A revised estimate was prepared after the onsite visit, which we accepted. When the crew arrived to begin the installation, we asked if it was possible to add any additional panels. A review of the roof by the crew revealed that they could fit a maximum of 56 panels. A final bid was presented to us, which we accepted. This indicated that Greenbelt Solar had the flexibility to modify the installation of the panels depending upon varying conditions or our requests. Bottom Line: If homeowners or businesses in Austin, Texas, want to install solar panels, Greenbelt Solar should be at the top of their list.

My initial discussion about solar panels began with Carey (one of the owners of Greenbelt Solar). She was very patient in providing several proposals based on my electric usage, how much I wanted to spend, and also the type of inverters or solar panels. After a lot of deliberation I decided on a specific proposal so that we could start the installation. The final quote we got was lower than the other quotes we had received, and I was impressed by their patience, knowledge about solar and quot;thingsand quot; and all my questions, and prompt communication - Carey was always available by phone or email - which was important to me as I like to know as much as possible in detail before deciding on something like this.

Adi (the second owner I interacted with) was in charge of the actual installation. He and his crew were excellent on the roof. The solar panels were installed in about a week (we had 30 panels and 30 microinverters). They were professional, polite, and had the know-how to make the correct decisions if something was not right. When there was an issue found by the Austin Energy inspector at the final inspection, Adi and his team fixed it right away. The rumor is that Austin Energy would take time to schedule another appointment with the inspector if the inspection does not pass in the 1st round, so Adi wanted to get the fix in at the earliest so we could pass the inspection and turn on our solar system.

As of now, we are happy owners of a solar system, and am glad we went with Greenbelt Solar!

Works great! we got the egauge monitr so I can see on my computer and phone how it is generating. They had to get special roof clamp connectors to work with our standing seam steel roof, the city made us change our service and meter, Adi worked with us and handled all of the issues.

I recommend them, they are great to work with. It is a great system.

Adi and his team did a great job installing our solar system. They were on schedule and very easy to work with. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
