They did a good job and did what they said they would do. The driller they used was particularly good and informative.
I would call them again.
Since my original post, Delton called my husband (his number is on record) and let him know the other uses of a sediment tank separate from for chlorination and gave him the name of the local fiberglass tank company (not sure if they were the manufacturer or what, but they know about the tanks) to call and ask questions. See the "Provider Response" for more details on the sediment tank potential uses.
We had used Glass Well Services this past summer and had a good experience. This time we had a leak in a tank, the fiberglass sediment tank, which Glass replaced. When the replaced fiberglass tank did not fix the issue, they ran additional tests and gave us a quote for follow-up work on the pump and potentially pressure tank to resolve the issue. The techs explained the quote and potential worst-case repair scenarios.
Delton had extenuating circumstances with a severe injury when I called to his office with follow up questions on the sediment tank, which may explain some of the interaction during that time. I do get the feeling he does take time to answer customer questions, plus the pricing is affordable.
"Hello Member, I do apologize to you about having a negative outlook with our company. The fiberglass tanks are used as well on heavy sediment wells. We have removed these off the system before, a few times, and have had customers unhappy because they were seeing dirt and spots in their washing machines. Since this was on the system we wanted to leave it on. It wasn't in our records that we installed this tank, we had no reason for why this tank was installed since the chlorinated wasn't connected. A chlorinator is usually installed between the well and the pressure tank with no other tank installed and this set up works correctly to treat the water. The only time a fiberglass or epoxy tank is installed is if the customer request that set up or the well has extremely high sulfur smell. This allows the water and chlorine solution time to eliminate the sulfur issues. I suffered a major head injury on Dec. 1st. and spent a few days in ICU. I spoke with you on my 1st or 2nd day back in the office. I do apologize if you felt I was unkind in any way. I try and explain things and take time with customers, our conversation was just basic questions. We knew your husband had called in about the pressure tank being bad or leaking. So the techs loaded up a pressure tank and headed over. They arrived on site and noted it was a fiberglass tank and called in and had one special ordered. The system was fully checked out on the return trip when the fiberglass tank was installed, that was when we did the full physical on the system and made y'all aware of the issues found. Let us know if you wish to have the sediment tank removed. This does serve a purpose with keeping the sediment down in the house, if we remove this you may have issues down the road. Thank You for making me aware of your thoughts. Delton Glass"
