Garden Gnome Landscaping

I was very happy with the results. The new plants are doing great. The redbud tree was attacked by deer but has come back nicely. Jeff gave me full credit for any plants that did not survive even if it was due to the weather.

I contracted Garden Gnome Landscaping to landscape my backyard. Owner Jeff Maxwell et al provided an illustrated design (at no charge), and then implemented it: creating limestone-bordered beds along the perimeter of my fairly large backyard, mulching the beds, and planting a variety of native trees, plants and grasses. Multiple strategies were readily implemented to accommodate my limited budget (eg, completing work in stages, use of less-mature plants, etc). Jeff continually offered education and advice about the native plants and their maintenance, and his extremely easy-going nature made the entire process great. I'm working with Jeff again on my front yard, and am confident that my positive experience will be duplicated.

I met Jeff at a volunteer event and asked for a business card. He responded quickly to my phone call and came out to hear my ideas and look at my property 2 days later. He understood exactly what I was hoping for and made great additional suggestions for design and plant list. His estimate was very reasonable and except for the rain finished the job exactly when he said he would. He arrived on time and worked very efficiently. He has a great eye for color and design. He is extremely knowledgable about native plants and how to create 4 season interest in areas from very shady to full sun.
