Not well. We had Ken design and provide cabinets in our garage several years ago. The initial project went well and we were very satisfied with the product and installation. When we decided to get matching cabinets it first took several weeks of trying to get the project arranged. While frustrating, we understood that contractors are busy. When we finally got a quote it seemed high. However, we wanted matching cabinets and decided to proceed. When the agreed installation date came, they arrived and discovered that they had built the wrong cabinets. Ken admitted that it was his error. We thought we had agreed for them to return yesterday to install the cabinets. They were a no-show. When we indicated our frustration he responded that he was cancelling the project because he lacked the time or resources to do the job and was refunding our deposit. Overall he was slow to respond to our communications, often taking a week or more to even answer phone calls or emails.

They get all A's. I like the personal service and how the owners care about their customers.

We were very happy with them. The prices were reasonable, the quality of the work was good, and they were very conscientious in making sure we were happy with the work.

Ken and the guys did a fantastic job. They were on time and courteous. They even came back the Saturday before Christmas to finish up - leaving their own families and activities - just because the weather had delayed the drying of the epoxy floor and put them behind a couple of days. The cabinets were great. Ken emailed me the detailed plan, I made a few changes, and he incorporated those changes perfectly. Great job and we are SOOOO happy with the outcome. THANK YOU!!

I had only good experiences with Ken and Garage Interiors. He worked on my garage and several other projects at my house over the course of several months. All of them were completed to my high standard. He was patient with me at times of my indecisiveness choosing finishing details. Ken was also able to accommodate a major change in the cabinet design that I wanted in the middle of the job. He always went above and beyond to make sure the work was done right. My garage is now the envy of friends and neighbors. Also, a countertop company was doing work at my house at the same time that Ken's company was there. When they left my kitchen a mess and poorly finished, Ken found a solution and fixed the problems. The fact that I could trust Ken was the biggest positive factor for me. I would recommend Ken to others and I will continue to use his company in the future.

We hired the company to bid a set of cabinets to be built in our garage.They were not the least expensive but we felt that since this is primarily what they do, using them made sense. The salesman, Ken came out and visited with my wife who explained what we were trying to get off the garage and into cabinets. I submitted a detailed and quot;to scaleand quot; drawing of the cabinets being very careful to call out the and quot;clear depthand quot; needed in each cabinet space. On my drawing, I placed a symbol around each depth of each cabinet area. To be doubly certain, at the bottom of the drawing,I called out a and quot;keyand quot; explaining that the inch indication and the symbol around it was the and quot;clear depth needed in each cabinet.and quot; My exact words. This was not rocket science. After the visit, Ken submitted his drawing to get our approval before moving forward. On his schematic, the words read and quot;20 inch deep cabinetsand quot; (exact wording) so one can discern that everyone gets that these cabinets need at least the required 19and quot; of depth and clearance. We were fine with 20and quot; depth, better to ere on the side of more space.
The day they built the cabinets, one of the largest cabinets areas called for two side by side sliding cabinet doors to be installed with recessed hinges. This was so as you move the sliding doors left and right you don't take off your fingers as the doors pass over each other. This was made clear to Ken from day one. The disappointment came in that they built the doors in such a way that we only had 17 inches of depth. This was disappointing simply because Ken was astute enough to know that to get the 19 inches of depth, you have to move the sliding doors out a few inches and he pointed this out from day one. We knew that as well, but what they built was not what got delivered on that large portion of the cabinet. We called Ken back to the site whereupon he was not happy that we didn't seem to understand that when his schematic says, and quot;20 inch deep cabinets', we should understand that with sliding doors, you're going to lose some inches!?. I looked him in the eye and asked him point blank, and quot;then what did you think my drawing to you says when it clearly stated that you need and quot;19 inches of clear depth in the cabinet?and quot; I am in the construction business and clearly knew that he was well aware that there isn't too many ways to interpret what I had sent him in my drawing. I asked him, then what does and quot;clear depthand quot; mean to you? He gives me a puzzled look! I pointed out that his schematic that says and quot;20 inch deep cabinetsand quot; could be easily interpreted that it is 20 inches depthand quot; but the fact is my drawing was much clearer than his. In any event I asked him if this had ever happened and he told me this was the first time(?) Obviously, this was an issue, but not trying to be a jerk, we both looked at the door and came to a rather inventive and easy solution to fix the issue. Another point was they did not install the hidden hinges, so he agreed they would come back and rebuild the front doors based on the way we both could see it could be fixed. He called us back with a set-up date,then had to call and cancel that and that was the last we heard from garage Interiors again. I called him, sent emails, etc. No response. The sad fact is a buddy of mine and I rebuilt the doors and they work great now, took us maybe a couple of hours. This is not how you run a business.
