We love the outcome both aesthetically and practically. While we still take on tons of water it does not threaten the house as it did before. His crew was great and were professional. Highly recommend Jeff for his value and expertise.

The provider arrived at the end of the day, just before 6 pm, and clearly was trying to wrap up the appointment to end his day. The offer wasn't well thought out as he simply asked us what information we wanted from him. We thought it would be a more formal assessment of how we could improve our landscape with a formal plan provided. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, so the informal feedback we received was fine, but there wasn't anything to work with after the consultation other than to schedule a follow up appointment for a more formal plan. We could have done this with a free first consultation meeting.

I have been very satisfied with the work done by Jeff and his crew.  The work is of high quality and competitively priced.  I initially bid my work to Jeff, but did not find the need after the first job.  When a mistake was made, Jeff was quick to make it right.  I continue to use Jeff going forward.

There are about 5 men that were doing this job. The work that they did was very good. We have used them multiple times. They are prompt and do the work in a timely manner. They are very easy to work with and we are very pleased with their work.

The crew that worked at my house was amazingly talented in being able to quickly transform my ideas into reality.   They really know their specialty.  They were clean, quiet, polite and hard working.    Everything they did met my expectations.  My only complaint is with the estimating process.  If you expect a detailed, itemized bid with quantities, hours, costs, etc., it won?t happen,  but in fairness, even without this the total job cost was within my budget.  As with any repair/remodel,  you will always find surprises and Jeff will work with you on options.  My recommendation is to specify exactly what you need done on paper with Jeff and have him bid the job based on your requirements.

I must admit that we gave Jeff very little direction and just expected him to read our minds, and he did! The paths were exactly as we envisioned them and were well installed. No shortcuts around edging and sprinkler heads?they cut the edging and moved the sprinkler heads as needed. The size and spacing of the stones is perfect, and we've now identified a couple of other places we'd like to have them installed, so we will definitely be calling Jeff again.

Due to the Angie's List reviews, we contacted Jeff for landscaping services for our yard. He was personable and we initially intended to move forward with him. He convinced us to bring in a friend of his and get a "professional design" for which there was a hefty fee (most landscapers including the one we went with do this for free as a part of the overall job). We kept indicating that Jeff was our first choice, but after the design was presented, Jeff was supposed to bid the job. He never did and never made contact again. Would NOT recommend him for anything, and have no indication he can do anything but the simplest of jobs. The yard design was not worth anything to us. It included plants we specifically indicated we do not like and do not want and wasn't anything we could use; a waste of money. Jeff kept telling us he wanted to do the job, which was the ONLY reason we agreed to pay for a landscape design.

Jeff was the only person to discuss the project who actually got a surveyor's level out to determine grade.  The issue was a subtle one since the lot appeared flat but I had determined over time that the high point was the front and would dam up the lot in fast rain.  The issue in fact was causing the lot to flood (luckily never flooding the house but getting really close and having 90% of the lot under water 3-8 inches of water).  Most would "eyeball" it and think my concern was unfounded and disregard the concerns and issues I wanted also taken into account, including not over draining the lot since there are a number of 50 ft tall trees.  
Jeff did exactly what I asked and constantly was willing to listen to my concerns and ensure that those concerns were taken into account.  His crew did a really good job and I think they were very trustworthy.  The work took about 3 days and it looks great.
When there was a problem with the sod, he also dealt with the company that provided it to ensure if the problem didn't resolve, he would get it resolved with them.  Sod problem resolved fine, but Jeff handled the issue in a good way.
I will also note that many of those we contacted about the job didn't even return my phone calls since the job was relatively low paying.  Jeff is particularly good with such "smaller" jobs - not just doing them right - but even returning calls to bid them.  We will use him in the future gladly and appreciate his expertise.  I would wholeheartedly endorse his work to others.  
As  a last note, when we got 4 inches of rain recently, the lot drained as it was expected to and I think we have resolved the majority of the issue.  Thanks, Jeff, you are appreciated.

Just fine.  I chose a lower bid.... we'll see how it goes.

Jeff was very responsive to scheduling a bid and had good suggestions for correcting the erosion issues between mine and my neighbor's house.  He suggested a french drainage system with rain emitters to re-direct water from my roof to grass in my backyard.  So far, the rain emitters have worked great even with the heavy rains we had last week.  I would also like to add that out of all the companies who bid on this project, he was the only one that really had suggestions for the drainage issues.  His crew was punctual and they cleaned up after themselves.  He was also responsive to making any changes to the scope of the work as the project progressed.

Update:  I had over 10 inches of rain at my house this past weekend and I wanted to report that the french drainage system with the rain emitters worked perfectly.  Jeff and his crew did an outstanding job.

Everything was done in a professional manner and looks terrific.  Jeff Luce worked with me to improve my design and the outcome is better than my original drawing.  The patio has an unusual shape and therefore the pavers had to be cut to fit the pattern.  This was no problem for Jeff's crew.  Jeff suggested that to stay on my budget, I should make arrangements for the delivery of the pavers and stone.  This was no problem for me and it saved me some money.  Jeff moved the irrigation lines and heads to make sure that my yard, garden and trees received water after the work was done.  Jeff noticed that the gate of my fence was too low to the ground and that the stone walkway beneath it was sunken.  Water and soil would collect in the "gully" beneath the gate and that created a slipping hazard for anyone who walked through the gate.  While it was not a part of the original estimate, Jeff had his men trim the bottom of the gate and raise the walkway so that the "gully" beneath the gate no longer exists.  After all of the work was done, the invoice was $200 under Jeff's estimate of the "not to exceed" cost.  I would recommend Jeff Luce without hesitation.

The whole process went extremely well. The owner, Jeff, worked with me on the design concept, budget restraints, and an estimated cost that didn't change. Jeff was either on the job or quickly available through the whole process. My yard is now beautiful and the construction process was fun.

I would recommend anyone that has a large or small landscaping job to call Jeff.  He listened to me, gave suggestions and was a pleasure to work with.  I called him in late January to get a bid and he was able to come out the following Saturday.  He was not able to start the project until March 7 due to a prior project he was finishing but also the sod was not ready yet.  It took about four business days to finish.  All in all a great experience and I am extremely happy with the final result.

Jeff really knows his plants and his landscaping and he gave me excellent advice. Jeff was responsive and did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Jeff and his crew did a very nice job - my front yard and the new plantings look great and my overgrown hedge problem is fixed. I wouldn't hesitate to call Jeff again for landscaping projects in the future.

We had a slight disconnect on scheduling, but once that was resolved, the project stayed pretty well on track.  Heavy rains did cause several days delay during the course of the project and caused some need for rework (washed out dirt, etc).  Frontier handled that as just a part of the project.  Setting the 1100 lb stone monolith for the water feature was a challenge for the company but, that challenge was met.  Jeff Luce and his crew willingly accommodated several changes we wanted as the design came to life.  Throughout the process Jeff made himself available for our questions and concerns, even after a full day on the job, to accommodate our work schedules. Working with Jeff was easy.  We would do it again!

Jeff and his crew were great. Jeff listened to our ideas, gave us what we wanted, offered tips to save a few bucks, and offered tips to pretty up our project. He dug out a little over 2 inches of yard; put in below-grade drainage elements; added decomposed granite, flagstone, and a few drought-tolerant plants to the mix; told us how to care for our new plants until they are established; and walked away with 6 happy customers. We and the neighbors on our right were his 4 customers. When our neighbors on the left saw the quality of Jeff's work, they jumped in and had him do the same thing to their yard while he was here. Jeff and his guys were on time and they cleaned the job site before leaving for the day. 

The only reason I gave him a B for Price is because to me, everything is too expensive. I'm cheap that way-B is as high as I go.

He was very careful. He took the time to make sure things were placed in the correct place.

Really very well. He's a joy to work with... honest and had GREAT ideas.  Really really really good choice to work with him.  YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.   Glad I found him on Angie's list!!

It was a great experience. He is very patient, a good listener and came out many times. He also is very straight up and honest. Our only complaint was that we thought the prices on the individual plants were a little high, but other than that everything was excellent. I will use him again in the future.

The owner gave great advice to make the project look natural. His price was a great value for what we got done. He is an artist with plants. He didn't just take an order he made it make sense.
