The guys showed up on time and did the work required in my level of satisfaction.   It went everything how they would have left.  I have a long standing relationship with one of the person there.

I especially liked the ability to receive the Floor King contract by email, affix an electronic signature, and send it right back.  This saved *lots of time* (days?) in the process between measuring and getting the order started.
Although this installed area was small, there were several special things that needed to be done to make it work well with existing carpet edges, with tile edges, and creating a small seam in a closet.  The installers also put new pad down in an adjoining hall and then re-installed our existing carpet that had been removed for carpentry and painting.  Everything was done just perfectly.  I appreciate the attention to detail, especially for a modest single-room job like this.

This was a complex pattern for the floor tile. It required extra skill, they did a perfect job. There is not a single flaw in the work. They did a good job on what is now called "crack isolation technology." People who are interested in floor tiles really should know about this, they knew everything that was necessary to use the technology. They were very professional, there was a crew of six people and they did the job quickly. It was about 1,200 square feet, in multiple rooms, they made it flow from one room to the next without issue. The overall effect is very beautiful. They knew how to divide up the work properly, it took them about five working days, that was including tear down of the old floor, installation of the new, and laying down the membrane. The undercutting was done correctly and cleanly. They used thin set to raise up the thinner tiles to match the thicker tiles, so that every tile is even in height. It was clear that the crew they sent was focused on my job, and only my job. They did not split or divide their time among multiple jobs.

The only problem was, that they miscalculated, and did not ordered sufficient quantity of one type of tile. They ran out when they were about three-fourths finished.  This can be a problem, because all material must be from the same "dye lot."  A different production run will be a different tint, and a slightly different size.  The additional material available here did not match in the tint or the size.  So they had to order some from another warehouse out-of-state, to get the same matching material.  Fortunately, it was available and the job was able to be completed.

Ken McCauley was very helpful with the selection of the tile and carpet.  We explored everything from real wood to engineered wood to laminates ultimately selecting ceramic tiles that looked like wood.  There were no high pressure sales tactics.  The products were ordered and installed as promised.  The installation took 3 days but was very good, although I wish the carpet had been vacuumed and tiles cleaned better since I had to move in to the house the next morning.  I do plan to re-tile the remaining bathrooms and kitchen next year and will be returning to Carpet One.

It turned out well. It was an insurance job. The total on the contract including our deductible was like $5700 and then we had to pay the deductible and which forward the net to $30 something. In any case I thought the price was fair. Our floors look really good. I would use them again in the future.

Their sales reps were extremely knowledgeable and presented many options. They did an excellent job of finding us the right product and right company to do the installation. They moved the furniture for us and even paid to repair a table that was damaged in the process.

I started with a plumbing problem. I wish that FK would have been as good at their job as my insurance company was! Because I was needing to replace part of my downstairs tile, I decided to have all of my flooring replaced in the house.
The woman I dealt with at FK was nice enough, but she did complain quite a bit about how busy she was and how much work it was. I am not sure how I was supposed to feel about her stress. I wish that she would have explained the complete install processes to me up front, it would have saved me quite a bit of exasperation and stress!
Hardwood - Installed first and I love the product. I had my stairs done as well, well most of them anyway. When the install was "complete" my bottom stair was not touched other than to remove the carpet. I was informed by my contact, they could not install hardwood on that step as it was made for carpet only. They could however install carpet on it! (There is no carpet in the area at all!) After much conversation, trips to my home and hours of work they did manage to make the step look similar to the rest of the hardwood. The workers did leave install materials in my yard and after 2 return trips, I finally cleaned it myself.
Tile - Where to start? I will touch only on a few of the issues with that. The first day, the installers broke my dining room table! The man in charge did have a friend of his take my table away to have it fixed. I did have quite a bit of items to work around and they did do a good job of that! However, this team also left quite a bit of materials in the yard and street. One word to sum it up, nightmare!
Carpet - This team broke my TV, granted it was an older model and I was ready to replace it anyway, but none the less, it was broken. If you use FK, remember to unplug your electronics and cable. You sign a paper stating that you will do this, but if you forget, they will not ask you to do this and may break it in the process. There were only 2 bedrooms to install, so this part of the flooring was a breeze relative to the rest of the house.
There is more that I can say about FK, but I just want to put the whole miserable experience behind me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my product, but I HATE HATE HATE the company that installed it! Please make sure you ask many questions and stay on top of everything and everyone in your home at all times! I would NOT recommend FK to anyone.

The salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.  He was very responsive anytime I called to ask a question and true to his word on everything he promised to do.  The installation crew was experienced and once they reviewed the project with me to see all the areas in which they were to install the vinyl they immediately began working.  The crew chief looked at the layout to determine the best way to lay the vinyl with the fewest seams.  Next they floated the floor to level  it and cover up any imperfections.  While the float was drying they began to roll out the vinyl and cut pieces. to begin the installation.  They did an excellent job on their installation and seams and left me with the remaining unused vinyl in case I needed it later on. The crew worked hard all day and into the evening hours in order to complete the job.  (it takes longer to install vinyl as they have to wait for the float to completely dry)  They cleaned up everything and then moved the furniture/appliances back in.  I was extremely pleased with their work and would have them to do work for me again in the future.

I dealt with Bill Delamar. He was the nicest, easy going, most preffessional guy ever, throughout the entire process, start to finish. We have a pretty big house with alot of stuff, and due to a plumbing leak, we had to have the flooring replaced. While we were at it, we decided to go ahead and upgrade from carpet to pergo and tile, although we did go back with new carpet in some areas. Bill was a real pleasure to work with. They have different crews that specialize in installing the diffent types of flooring, since we had 3 different types, we dealt with different crews of installers. They were ALL great guys & did a fabulous job. They showed up on time, they did their work, and cleaned up behind themselves. I thought it was going to be a lot of trouble to do all the work, but these guys got it all done with-out  any problems, my Wife & I were truly amazed. It was long process, but they were great the whole time, start to finish. I would recommend this company to anyone. If you need flooring Call Bill at Floor King!

Very good experience all around.  Good selection and pricing.  Good sales support from Brian Dover including responsiveness to our many requests for samples (sorry Brian) as we struggled with color choice.  Good quality installation.  Very happy with the decisions we made and the job done.

I liked that they came out and thoroughly explained the type of flooring they had, and also the process.  I didn't know much about it, but I appreciated that they took the time to explain.  I felt that I was comfortable when making a decision, and I was happy with how everything turned out.
