Five Star Painting of Austin

The engagement started very positive with a very professional consultation and estimate process, but then quickly went downhill from there. Lack of surface prep left paint ridden with debris. I have never seen such poor execution of a fairly simple process. However, that was not even the worst part of the whole interaction with Five Star Painting. When expressing these concerns to Five Star Painting's project manager, I was met with extreme hostility and an absolute lack of understanding. Instead of having a discussion about my concerns it was immediately escalated to a "production manager" - almost as if this happens quite often . . . For a paint company, they sure do not understand paint, let alone customer care.

Great. Everything was done correctly and on time.

Five-Star was the only company I solicited for a bid that 1) would come to my house to do an estimate; and 2) provided an acceptable solution for the crack. So, I hired them. They showed up on time and got the work done quickly. Due to a miscommunication, they painted a couple of walls the wrong color. They did not haggle with me or whine when I pointed out the error. They maintained a clean worksite throughout the time they were here. When I pointed out some issues with the initial job they did, there again was no haggling our discussion--they just fixed it. I'm quite pleased.

I truly do give them five out of five stars. The estimate was quick, they have one person devoted to doing this alone, and when i needed to push up my project date with short notice they were able to accommodate. Second, on the day the job began the paint was delivered ahead of time and the manager did a walk through to verify the work that was to be completed. When the painters arrived he made sure they understood and was there at the beginning and end of every day. Most of our floors are hardwood and we have 20 foot ceilings which required scaffolding- they carefully covered the floor (double layer of protections) and put away all equipment out of the way every night. They bubble wrapped and moved all furniture and items and then put them all back. This is truly a top notch company and i was very impressed. The manager does another walk through up to a week after in case there are minor touch ups that need to be made. I have used other painting companies before and but never had one that cared/took it as serious as this one. I would hire them again in an instant.

The entire process went extremely well. Dan Pierce was our project manager and did a great job. He was on top of every aspect of our job,and was always very responsive. The crew we had was excellent. They were very professional, worked very hard, and did a great job. One aspect that I really appreciated was the crew always told us when they were finished for the day, and what time they would be back the following day. We had one or two minor spots that needed some touch up, and they were very responsive addressing these minor issues. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend them.

Both the coordinator and the project manager were very responsive. The workers were friendly and thorough. The work performed was excellent and they happily touched up the minor issues I pointed out. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would use them again.

These guys painted the whole interior of my house--they were fast and did a wonderful job.

Five Star Painting is amazing! Their employees are professional, courteous, pleasant, and always on time. The company is very well organized. They did a fantastic job painting and matching existing colors. The price is more than reasonable. Very impressed and will definitely use this company again.

Professional throughout the project.   Workmanship appears to be of the highest quality.  The project manager Karlos was responsive and pro-active.   I would recommend this company highly. 

We are very very pleased with the work.  The workers showed up on time on the day they promised to come and did excellent prep work to protect the stucco on our house from getting paint on it.  They also put out tarps to protect the grown underneath the 2nd story deck.  They thoroughly sanded and prepped all surfaces before painting, and cleaned up completely.   They were all professional, courteous, and we couldn't ask for better.   Karlos the supervisor came by several times to be sure all was going well.   Anna our sales rep properly estimated the job and they came in right on budget- no surprise charges.   I plan to use this company again!   Best painter crew in Austin.

Crews showed up on time and completed the work as scheduled. Their work quality was very good. The site manager, Karlos Salinas, did a good job of coordinating the work with other contractors. Overall we are very satisfied with the results which were accomplished with minimal stress owners. It was certainly worth the cost.

Wonderful! This was a big job. Our home flooded in the Texas flooding event in Wimberley October 2015. During a devastating time, they came in with a plan and schedule that fit our needs and schedule requirements. Extremely professional, attention to detail and considerate to our situation.

Project started on time and finished on budget. Excellent, professional service. Very detailed oriented. Very eager to please. They were in my house for several days and I felt very comfortable with them here. They kept checking to make sure everything was exactly as I expected it and if they had questions, they asked, which I appreciated. They were very careful, using plastic and tape to avoid paint platter. They moved furniture, pictures, etc, and then put them back in place. Before they left, they had me go over each room with them and made sure I was completely satisfied and then said if I notice anything after to let them know and they’d come back. Needless to say, because they were so careful and periodically checked with me, I didn’t need them to come back. Very customer-focused. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I plan to have my exterior done next with them.

Excellent job!  Excellent communication and follow up.  They inspected the work and fixed a few things before leaving.  Couldn't be happer!

It went well. The time before that, they did interior painting. They did the interior while we weren't here. We just left them a key and we were comfortable with them taking care of it. We came home to a freshly painted house that looked really good. They were great. They were super fast. It was quoted as a whole day job and they were done withing an hour and a half. Everything looked great. They checked in before they left and everything. I would use them again.

They did an excellent job. Used high quality paint. Did several coats. Kept everything really clean. Were pleasant to deal with. Looked after all the details. I was very satisfied.
