First Class Painting Solutions

Tragically! Unfortunately I hired Stephen to refinish hardwood floors in my northwest austin home. He replied to my request on gosmith.com and professed to be an expert floor refinisher. He wasn't. I know nothing of his painting skills, but he was a disaster as a floor refinisher. After 5 days of sanding a 700 ft2 area (should take no more than a day - look it up), he had carved small circles in to my hardwood and left much of the varnish on the floors (in other words - he didn't have a clue how to sand). My house was full of dust and my floors were in worse shape than when he began. He made a myriad of excused, from the bad weather outside, to the bad sanding pads Home Depot had given him, to velcro pads misfitting (who knows what that means), to a small roof leak I had in a totally separate room. I fired him. Unfortunately I had paid him 33% down, so I am screwed out of that money. I am the president of my HOA, a software entrepreneur and own a high end home in a gated community. I feel that Stephen lacks both ability and integrity. In fact, I believe that he has committed construction fraud. Shame on you Stephen.
