Faught Service Company

Faught has replaced two HVACs for us: the first in our condo in 2014. The old unit was in the attic above the master bedroom and everywhere in the unit it sounded like a 747 taking off. Faught re-ducted some of the returns placing them in closets which kept my computers cool and kept the ceilings and walls free of return ducts :) The second HVAC was in our townhome and was a challenge because of limited space. Faught installed a continuous unit that allowed only the power that we needed and allowed us to section-off the master bedroom. My wife likes the MBR to be 65* at night and Faught's approach saves us on utility bills. All work was completed timely, in a professional manner and for a competitive price. We will definitely use them again.

Brandon was knowledgable and professional as he answered all of our questions about our then failing central AC system. He provided quotes the same day he came onsite to view our setup which was the same afternoon that we called him. He was able to setup emergency service for our first unit and within one day had 4 professional and friendly technicians on site. Faught’s technicians were incredibly knowledgeable and went out of their way to meet all of our needs and all of our wants. Additionally, Faught’s was able to beat out a competing local installer of Carrier units with higher quality Lenox units for the same price. We really appreciate the hard work and dedication of this locally-owned small business.

The compressor on my 14 year old system failed. I considered replacing just the outdoor unit but after reviewing the pro’s and con’s decided to replace both the gas fired furnace and the AC system. I ended up purchasing the mid-line Lennox system. Brandon was very helpful in choosing the system and it was installed very quickly. My last system was very quiet and son was surprised that this one is even quieter. After a couple days o cooling I am very pleased with how well it works and how even the house temperature feels.

Decided to try this smaller company instead of the larger, national one which grew-up no longer competitive in maintaining my other 3 HVAC systems. I was singularly delighted with the quality of service and the overall experience with this company. Rick (the estimator) took ownership of the entire project while Dan, the team leader, quality- assured the installation over a 6 hours installation with a crew of 4. Exemplary HVAC firm !

Faught Service did a great job and provided quality equipment. They completed our HVAC project just as promised, and we are very impressed with all of their personnel.

They are the best that I have found. These guys are good. I've been through about 3 or 4 other providers. I have had problems with people following up. Other people forget that they have a contract with you for service and then they don't show up when it's time to check your summertime or wintertime needs. Faught is very strong on my air conditioner, they are a license facility to take care of my Amana air conditioning system, so they were a natural for me because I have a warranty through Amana for 10 years, but it has to be maintained by a good, strong, approved company. Faught is one of the few around that has those certifications. I have found them to be very straight forward and business like, They are very good and are professionals. It is a family owned business and I really like working with family owned businesses. These guys are not only a big sized company and have plenty of people, but they are family owned which is big for me. I continue to use them all of the the time. I always renew my contract when it comes up. There were two guys and it took an hour and a half. The area was left tidy and it was very professional.

During the first visit, Mark used a UV bulb our earlier provider had left by the system in our attic (he had known we would need it soon, so the old one lasted longer than we thought it would).  We had forgotten it was there!  We didn't have to buy a new bulb.
During the second visit (spring maintenance was in May because I called late to set it up), he determined our system was in order.
At the third visit (fall, 2015), not only did he perform the semi-annual maintenance, but he also gave us paperwork to submit to our gas company that showed he had done all the maintenance checks needed to qualify us for a conservation rebate.  After I submitted to our gas company, we received a $40 rebate from the gas company!  I would never have known about the rebate if he hadn't told me.

It went very well.  As usual, the service technician was very thorough and very professional.  He provided a detailed summary of the services he performed.  Faught continues to provide outstanding service for my air conditioning/heating needs.

I called for service in the morning, explaining that I had a failed thermostat that was under warranty.  The dispatcher said she'd get someone out ASAP and would call when they were on the way.  I got the call a few hours later and rushed home.  An hour later, I called the dispatcher to make sure that the tech was actually coming, and that there wasn't some problem- I was assured that they would be there "any minute".  About 30 "any minutes" later, the tech finally arrived, quickly found that the t-stat was dead, and fetched a replacement.  Less than 1/2 an hour later, he was done and writing up the invoice.  "Invoice?" I asked, "Isn't this under warranty?"  "Well, there's an $89 service call fee, and a warranty fee, and a $5 fuel charge."  They charged me $208 for the call and the 30 minutes of labor to replace a piece of junk thermostat that I wasn't happy with in the first place.  I guess it serves me right for not asking the price before calling them out.
Maybe I should send them an invoice for my "waiting around for the guy that's 'on the way'" fee.

We use them all the time. We use them quite frequently. It was excellent.

Mark went right to the unit and diagnosed the problem.  Evidently some insects had become attracted to a controlling part and burned it out...saw the burn marks.  He installed the new part and made new connections from the wiring.  It started right up and immediately began cooling the 80 degree house.  My mother was quite happy.  Mark is a valued service technician and works quite diligently to diagnose and fix issues.

Very well.  Went right to work and cleaned and serviced everything.  Put in a new filter.  Nick was very polite and knowledgeable.  Have used Faught for a number of years and they have always been good.

Everyone, from the telephone staff to the service personnel were very nice, professional, sympathetic even!

The company makes an appointment (they call you with a reminder), they call again the day of the appointment, then they call as the tech is driving to the appointment.  I have had 2 of the same techs on my properties for the past 4 years.  The techs know the systems and are very efficient in completing the work.  They never leave a mess, actually set out in the rain cleaning my compressor and seem to be very down-to-earth and friendly.  My wife knew the company from her days of living in Central Austin and I have now recommended them to my friends.  I had them upgrade my HVAC years ago and have also had my mother's house redone by them.
A good family run company...
