Deep Eddy offered to pick up the rugs and return them when the job was completed. They even helped us move a few pieces of furniture to return the rugs to their original location. When the rugs were returned, they looked like they were brand new. Not only were they very clean, the colors were brighter and the overall appearance was much improved. The job was completed timely and the cost was very reasonable. Because of our experience with Deep Eddy, we will use them again when our rugs need cleaning in the future, and we can highly recommend them to others who need similar service.

I have a wool Oriental rug in the kitchen -- the rug is about 3 feet by 8 feet.  It had some pasta dried onto it, and other bits of food.  A local rug store recommented Deep Eddy.  Deep Eddy estimated about 14 days to get it done, but they finished about 4 days faster.  It's all clean.

I contacted Deep Eddy to request an appointment to have our carpets cleaned. I told them we have Triexta and that we have surface grease stains in high traffic areas.  I was assured by the appointment setter that they could do the job so I scheduled the appointment.  The Technicians measured and gave me an estimate that was $600+.  I told them 'no way' so they gave me a small discount.  I talked to them about the stains and they got started. Even before they left,  I told the technician that the stains were not coming out and he told me that sometimes the carpet changes color in some areas making the carpet look like there are stains  in high traffic area (@!#??) The carpet took a full 24 hrs to dry.  When it DID dry I noticed that none of the stains were removed, not even faded. .I called them and told them that I took a white rag with a carpet cleaning solution to a couple of the spots and the stain came out...the manager stated that they were not willing to get down on their hands and knees and scrub anything by hand!  The person told me there was nothing they could do.  I explained that I feel as though we wasted $500+  and there was no offer of any kind--just that there was nothing they could do.  I explained that we have only had our carpet for 2 yrs and we did NOT have a heavily soiled carpet--basically the  stains I pointed out each time which were surface stains that needed some type of de-greaser applied.   The fact that the carpet was drenched and they did not get out the stains after trying twice  make me believe that they don't take into consideration the type of carpet you have; not very knowledgeable for an over priced carpet cleaner!
Don't waste your money on Deep Eddy unless you are just looking to deodorize your carpet---   Big waste of time/$$  Very disappointed
s a side note: it is unprofessional  to wear work boots without protective covers when cleaning a customer's carpet...where do you think the surface grease stains come from?
Response from Deep Eddy Carpet Cleaning
"We always attempt to satisfy every customer, it appears this time we failed. We actually cleaned several areas of the carpet three times. The type of carpet[Member's name removed] has is "Triexta" we use cleaning agents that are formulated for this fiber. After the first visit to [Member's name removed] home she was told to please allow the carpet to dry and that if it was still dark to call us back and we would be glad to come back out. She did call and we went back to her home. The technician that went back could not see any "dark areas" but did offer to reclean any areas she had concerns. We then re-cleaned the home again using hot water extraction and a prespray designed for Triexta. We received a call the next day that she was still not satisfied. Unfortunately at this point we have made 2 trips to her home and re cleaned the areas again and the stairs 4 times. Our technicians cannot see the darkness she is referring . For this reason we did not feel a refund was due. The technicians that performed the work each have over 10 years experience each and are very knowledgeable in different cleaning processes. I am always more than willing to work with a customer when reasonable request are made but in this instance we are unable to please [Member's name removed]. Bill Foulds Owner Deep Eddy Rug Cleaners"

They came on time and picked up the two rugs.  I haven't unrolled one of them--it's too big and I don't have a place to put it.  The other rug had stripes in it from the cleaning (not stains) and they were not able to get all of the pet stains out.  To be fair, they did tell me they might not be able to get them all out.  It took them much longer than I think it should have--more than two months.  I had to call them about bringing the rugs back, and I think they had overlooked them or put them on the back burner, because I still had to wait even longer to get them back.  I suspect the stripes were caused because the one rug was still slightly damp when they rolled it up.  I can't open the other rug--it's too heavy for me, and I am anxious about what I will find when I do.  The big rug originally cost $18K.  There are other highly rated cleaners and I won't use this company again.
NOTE:  I am not sure about when the services were provided because I was moving from one house to another and couldn't find the paper work.
Response from Deep Eddy Carpet Cleaning
"I researched our database for services provided to this customer and only found a work order dated November 13, 2013. We kept the rugs for 14 days which is normal for rug cleaning. Upon inspection of the rugs prior to leaving the customers home our technicians noted urine damage and a crease in the rugs. The rugs were delivered and inspected by the client and no complaints were noted. We also delivered 2 pads at the same time. The date the customer mentions that we picked up her rugs is 8 months later than we provided service and over 18 months since we had been to her home. All rugs are dried in a humidity controlled drying room and tested to insure that the humidity level is below 18%. If a rug is left damp for an extended period of time it will develop mold or mildew. As Austin's most respected rug cleaner we take great pride in our service and are always happy to respond to a customers concerns. It is very difficult to take responsibility for work that was completed over a year ago and never have received a call from the client expressing any dissatisfaction. Bill Foulds Owner"

I just moved back into my house after a 6-month total rehab project. All my stuff, except for minimal apartment furnishings, was stored in the garage. That's 6 months without climate control in Texas, so I knew my rugs would need special care. I took them all to Deep Eddy the day I moved out -- the whole motley collection of mostly wool rugs, some thick, some thin, some large, some small. No antiques or valuable rugs, but all good quality. They cleaned them and encased them in thick plastic, thoroughly taped up at the ends. They got tossed in on top of everything else in the garage and there they lay.

I unrolled them this weekend and they are all in perfect condition; literally like new. Gorgeous. They even smell good.

I highly recommend Deep Eddy for cleaning and especially for preparing your rugs for storage.

If you really care about your oriental rugs you should really go to Deep Eddie. I had a bad spill of wine on my white rug and they came to the rescue. They provide 1st class, excellent quality service. I recommend them to everyone.

First of all, if you deliver your rug to them you save 25%. When I walked in with my rug, someone immediately helped me. You enter thru the garage so to speak so they're all working there. They turn off the machines when they see you because it's loud I suppose and I thought that was very considerate.
My cats had done their thing on my rug and I've been treating it myself for weeks until I just decided to check out this local company. It was way way more affordable than I knew and the savings for bringing the rug to them was just icing on the cake.
I have another rug there now that was a little more expensive, $30 or so, with the same cat issues. I really recommend this company

I was a good job. It's been some years ago so I don't remember exactly when or what it cost. This company is highly-regarded so I expected stellar service from them. I was satisfied, but not overly impressed. The price was OK, too.
