CUSTOM TILE OF AUSTIN

I can not say enough good things about this company. They are wonderful! We now have our dream bathroom and shower. Everyone in the company from Steve (the owner) to our installer were so helpful. I could not have imagined a better bathroom. My shower feels like a work of art. They took a picture I had in my head and turned it into a reality (with several improvements I didn't even think of!). Because of Custom Tile of Austin's reputation, we called Steve Smith to ask if his company could tear out and re-install an intricate mosaic tile in our kitchen on a very short timeline, even though we knew that our chances of their being available were slim. I am so glad we called! With the rains Austin was experiencing, Steve was able to work our smaller inside job into his schedule, and he assigned it to Miguel, who must be his best installer and job supervisor. Miguel is not only an artist and perfectionist in tile, but also is incredibly reliable, neat and honest.
Custom Tile of Austin showed up when they said they would, started and finished the job when they said they would, charged the very reasonable price they originally estimated and achieved an absolutely beautiful result. Also, in what was an important factor to us, they confined dust that inevitably was created in tear-out and to a lesser extent in installation, inside a large plastic-tented area that they constructed at the beginning of the work. All sawing or fabrication was carried on outside where prevailing winds did not carry it into our or neighbor's homes. Miguel only called the job and quot;finishedand quot; when not a speck of dust could be seen or felt on the surfaces or in the air of the room.

Service was outstanding. For example, we wanted the color of the slate to be dominated by reds instead on blues. Steve would hand pick the tiles and on at least one occassion, send back an entire pallet of slate.

Steve is great to work with. He's very consultative and patient with all of our questions. His bid was very competitively priced, and we had seen his work in other homes, so we were confident of his professionalism. His crew was very careful in removing the backsplash tile and didn't cause any damage to the cabinets. When they demoed the fireplace and entry way, they were very good about cleaning everything up. With all tile demos, you can expect some amount of dust, but Steve's crew worked hard to keep the mess to a minimum. The tile installation was flawless in every area and looks stunning. I would - and already have - recommend Custom Tile to friends and family.
