Cruisin Canines

Amber arrived Christmas Day exactly on time to care for our two Maltese-Terrier mixed rescue dogs. The dogs are very protective of my wife and there are almost zero people who can walk in the door and not be challenged by our more aggressive pooch. Amber amazed us as she very casually walked in the front door and, without making any eye contact with the dogs, dropped a couple of organic doggie treats as she went, all the while talking with us. Well! I can tell you that those dogs went from attack mode to super-calm and friendly in a matter of minutes. Before we left, they were actually at her feet and looking for some attention. Amber has a way with dogs that cannot be denied.
We left for our overnight trip feeling pretty good about our choice, but we were not prepared for what was to come...Amber sent text messages to us each time she walked or fed the dogs, with small comments about each of them and what they were doing. It was readily apparent that she not only was there and keeping the pups on schedule, but she had totally "pegged" our dogs' distinct personalities. She even sent a couple of pictures to boot!
When we arrived home the next day, we were pleased to see that the mail, which I had forgotten from the previous day, was on the kitchen counter. Nice touch. But what really blew us away was our kitchen - it was spotless! The few dishes we had left in the sink had been washed and the table and counters thoroughly cleaned. Our sink was sparkling. I've NEVER had anyone do such a terrific job before, and the best part? Our dogs were best friends with Amber. I don't know how she did it, but they totally love this girl! Turns out she also provides dog training and behavioral consultations. Needless to say, we signed up for that. If she can turn our little terrors into the sweet dogs they are for us, this girl knows something! All this in one visit - amazing.
