CENTEX HOMES

Overall, we believe that we got a good value for our Centex Home.  However, our confidence in the quality of the new Centex home wained as a result of all the items that needed repair before closing.  We expected our new Centex home to be showroom ready when we did the first walkthrough, albiet not perfect.  Cosmetic deficiencies can be overlooked but bad workmanship and damaged materials, damaged appliances, and inoperable air conditioners should be fixed and ready to show upon the first walkthrough.  We are just so glad to have hired our own  independent home inspectors before signing off on the punch list prior to closing.  By the way, we highly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a Centex home also hire their own home inspectors for peace of mind.
We believe that Centex Homes can make the home buying experience a lot less stressful if only they hire their own independent home inspector and fix all discovered deficiences before the home shopping customer even sets foot in the newly constructed home.
We do recommend Centex Homes as a fair value purchase.  However, our reasonable expectations of being shown a quality finished new home in a timely manner were not met this time around.

QUALITY HOME. SATISFIED WITH HOME. EMPLOYEE TURN AROUND SEEMS TO BE HIGH. STILL WORKING ON MAINTENANCE ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. I AM SATISFIED SO FAR WITH THEIR RESPONSES AND TIMING OF MAINTENANCE.
