Julian and his crew came in and demolished and removed the old tile work and then replaced the tile working around and with the other trades (plumber, electrician, drywall etc.). The project went fairly well, as remodeling an older nathroom is never easy but Julian and his crew were helpfull and professional.

I remodeled my kitchen and pretty much knew what I wanted with the exception of the backsplash. I was struggling to make it work with the tile found at the big box stores. By chance, I stopped in at Castle Flooring and asked for help. I showed them pictures of my kitchen and the kitchen I was using for inspiration. Even though this is not the ideal way to work with a design company like Castle Flooring, they were willing to help me with this part of my remodel. They zeroed in on some designs and sent me home with samples. The next day, I settled on a glass tile and began the process with Julian. He measured the space and gave me a very accurate bid. His installer was great and there was very little waste. Julian came by to inspect the work and noticed a few things that needed touching up. He is a perfectionist and values quality work. As far as the cost, I budgeted based on what I was finding at the big box stores but in the end, I wanted something more. I have a backsplash that I love and it was worth paying for Castle Flooring’s quality and perfection. I highly recommend Julian and his team and plan on using them to finish my floors throughout my home.

Overall we are very happy with our experience. We were fortunate enough to pick our tile on our first visit and our carpet selection seemed ok. However Julian was able to get us a very large sample and after putting it in our house we realized a second option was much better and we are very happy to have had that extra large sample provided to us as we are very happy with the newer choice.
Before installation, we had a couple of discussions with Julian on what to expect as this was our first experience with new tiling and carpet replacement. Julian and subcontractors were very easy to work with. We had numerous subfloor squeaks and some soft spots in the floor which were repaired prior to carpeting for very reasonable costs. Our newly tiled floors and carpeting are fantastic and would recommend castle flooring to anyone. I did not give 5 stars on pricing but remember that you get what you pay for .... a quality job and an owner who cares and provides great customer service.

Julian's contractors were really courteous. They showed up on time and completed the work with great quality. I only had to point out one spot on the stairs that needed filling. We went with Castle flooring because Julian walked us through the entire process and had the product we wanted at a lower cost than other flooring suppliers in town. Julian, or his contractor manager, showed up at the job site a couple of times to check the work. Great service. I highly recommend.

I found Castle floors on Yelp.com through an advertisment offering a free estimate. Julian Sanchez came out for the estimate and charged me $75.00. He did not stand behind his advertisment. I did hire him to complete my fireplace. Sanchez kept increasing prices and showing up for work then saying that he was unable to complete the job. He hires workers and drops them off. Sanchez does not come out and do the work himself. Although, he did hire an amazing worker, Travis. This man would come out and work on Saturday and Sunday until the job was finished! Once finished, I requested my $75.00 estimate charge to be refunded, but Julian said only if I hire him to complete the tile in my bathroom. I only wanted Travis to complete my bathtub, but for some reason Julian had fired him. He wanted to bring another worker into my house without introducing him to me. The job was not completed and my bathroom is unfinished.

Since we had just purchased the home, we were very price sensitive and Julian worked with us to keep the costs under control, even offering me advice and some light training on things I could do myself to prep the space and save some money. It's VERY rare to find such a considerate and understanding contractor who's willing to lose a few bucks provided the homeowner has some basic handyman skills to prep the job.Travis, the installer, was prompt each of the three days he did the work. He spent a full 8 hours just repairing the existing wall -- 20 years old, site of former heavy brick fireplace AND subsequently site of a built out curtain wall. He wrestled with our firebox, ground down cement, grout and adhesive to get a plumb surface before we laid a single tile. Once the prep was done, the tiles got in fast and perfect. Even with levels and steady hand I can't detect a wave (and these are tiny flexible sheets of tile that are very unforgiving. There was an usual grouting issue at the end as we opted for a hearth even with the floor which left a difficult transition between the new tile and our existing tile floor. Travis had some ideas, I had some ideas, and Julian was on the phone with us in minutes receiving photos from our phones and evaluating the options. We ended up with a creative fix that beautifully transitioned and was well "outside the box" of a standard installation technique. Travis worked late that day to pull off our last-minute design change. The next day, after Travis was gone, Julian called and emailed us to make sure everything was up to our standards (and my wife and I can fairly be described as "difficult" clients) and offered to send Travis back if we wanted something changed. And all the work is backed by a lifetime guarantee, so if there's something not currently apparent, I'm confident I can get Julian back here to fix it pronto.

Poor quality workmanship. Carpet was no problem, but the tile installation was totally unacceptable. Still have uneven tiles and grout. When Julian saw the tile installation (after being called and told it was uneven and unsatisfactory) his first response was that the installation was "a normal installation". There was nothing normal about the uneven tiles and grout. I told Julian I had been unable to remove the film on the tile, and he did not respond. The installer came back and replaced the worst of the tiles and added some grout, but still unsatisfactory. I called Julian again and expressed my frustration and told him I would give him the opportunity to correct the errors. He and the installer came and scrubbed the film covering the tile and attempted to re-grout some of the tiles. I still have uneven tiles and grout!

I was remodeling a rental property largely as a DIY project and simply was in over my head. I had started tiling one tub surround and installing floors from IKEA when I determined that I wasn't going to be able to it all myself. Julian evaluated the situation and was able to provide a quote for finishing both the ceramic tiling and the flooring installation. We used all the tiling material I had previously purchased and Julian was able to match the design that I had in mind. I returned the IKEA flooring and purchased new laminate material from Castle that looks great. In one week, Julian finished what was going to take me forever.
