The 3-4 person crew is prompt, professional, and thorough. They call or text at least 30 min before arrival. They are accomodating in schedule changes as well (switching days and times if notified a few days in advance). However, they would not qoute for cleaning oven, and they missed a couple of minor spots (counter wipe down, toilet base unclean, shower stain leftover) after the first couple of visits. But they quickly corrected once made aware and have not missed since in the last several months. They have knocked over a couple pieces of small decor in the house on seperate visits, but only breaking one small wooden craft. They were forthright in each instance even when a piece did not break and offered to contact Stuart to reconcile but we dismissed as not substantial. As for cost of service, it was a little more than another A-rated competitor but after one conversation with Stuart, a no-hassle price match was done. Overall, we are very satisfied with Castle Cleaning and appreciate the work this crew is doing.

They were prompt and professional however I felt that they were not as detailed for a deep cleaning. Our home is well maintained and clean which made the job easier. I wanted baseboards dusted and deep clean floors. It was not done as I would have thought for 4 hours with 2 cleaners.

They had four women here for over three hours. The house is really neat. I was just heading out to work when they arrived and my wife was here the whole time and she said she couldn't believe how hard these women worked. The other thing that was kind of impressive, there are a lot of Hispanic workers and we have experienced a couple of times people sending a crew in to do a job and you had to communicate with them and they had two people in the crew; one that spoke excellent English and other that could at least understand and communicate and that's important. They did an absolutely fantastic job. It's A across the board. In fact, we're maintaining their number so that when we did move, we'll have them available to do housecleaning.

I wasn't completely satisfied with Castle Cleaning. It was good overall but there was a couple of things that I pointed about. The best part is that they were right on time. It was a four person crew and they bought their own equipment. They seem to work quickly. They were limited in what they can do and because of that I think they finished in an hour and 15 minutes and then they were ready to go. I kind of expected that they would spend more time on the areas that they had access to but they had very specific limits which I don't think were clearly stated. They may if you read through all their stuff, have been stated that you have to pay extra if you have them to do shelves or whatever. They finished early and when I pointed out that this was for two hours of cleaning, they said we're done and that's what we're doing and they left. They didn't say it exactly like that but I was disappointed that we didn't get a full two hours of cleaning, that they didn't have found something else. I'm sure there was something else they could have done but I don't know if the structure of their contract prevents them from doing those other things unless you pay extra. I think that they should be more specific if they're offering a deal like that to say "these things are excluded." They probably do say some of those things if you go through all full menu and order a job with them, they probably do provide that stuff but on their deal, they're not real explicit about what they include and what they exclude. I was disappointed that they have finished significantly ahead of time.
Response from Castle Cleaning
"We bill based on time for our initial service cleans. We bill a minimum of one hour, then we pro-rate the billing to the nearest quarter hour. This home unfortunately needed more time allotted to get the home cleaned to the clients level of satisfaction and we communicated this early to the client to see if they would like to pay for additional time or to reset expectations as to which rooms they wanted completed within the time limit. For the past 14 years we have built a reputation for being honest. We are honest with the time we are out in our clients homes and we also mention if we can not finish cleaning all expected areas within a two hour time limit. This was one of the homes that unfortunately fell into this category. We strive to satisfy each and every client 100%. You have my personal guarantee."

This was the first time Castle Cleaners came to my home.    The team lead listened to my instructions about what I wanted done.   I gave him some special instructions and he was good about asking questions during the cleaning to make sure they were doing the cleaning the way I preferred.  The whole team did a good job and I was happy with the result.
I will have them come back regularly.

They did a good job,  however they may require some micro-managing here and there. They are a solid company and I would call them again in the future.

Stuart, the boss, is very friendly, accessible, and accommodating. Because we have had some remodeling work going on, we have had an irregular schedule, but Stuart always finds a time that works for us. Edgar, our team leader, is very diligent and always asks if we have special requests before the cleaning and does a room by room check with us before the team leaves. They want to make sure that they have not missed anything. We especially appreciate the team approach because they can move tables and chairs to clean underneath furniture. They also do a good job of dusting high shelves and tops of high furniture (like top of refrigerator) that we cannot reach.

We had been prepping our house to put it on the market, and having it cleaned was the final step to make it ready.  Stuart, the owner, was very professional and also willing to be flexible about scheduling when we had to make some last-minute changes.  Also, because we knew that our house needed a little more work than average, he scheduled us at the end of the day.  Because of this, the team was able to stay until the house was clean.  When we got home that evening, the place looked great.
Only negative was that they used too much water on our stove, shorting it out.  But they worked with us to get it repaired, and they paid for those repairs.

I really, really wanted to give them an A because they are very nice people. However, nice doesn't keep your house clean. I originally bought an Angie's List coupon for 4 people for two hours which appealed to me. It was easily scheduled, and this first cleaning was amazing. They did a very good job. So good that I hired them for regular cleaning. They also did a good job the next time they cleaned. I finally felt I had found a cleaning company that could stay consistent and not decline or get complacent over time. I was wrong. After that second cleaning, the downhill slide began. The four person crew arrived with only three people and non-working vacuum cleaners. The crew chief let me know their vacuum cleaners weren't working properly, and he had asked Stuart for new or repaired equipment numerous times. No discount was offered for the smaller crew or non-working vacuums. I felt sorry for the ladies because they literally had to get down on their hands and knees and clean the floor with just the hose attachment of the vacuums. I actually walked up on one of the ladies about to put one of my throw rugs over a pile of dirt and kitty litter she had swept up. Her vacuum wouldn't pick it up. Didn't they think I would find it? I was told that they could stay longer to get the house clean. The crew chief always asks for a post cleaning inspection, and I did a quick walk through. Several areas didn't meet my standards so had them re-clean a bathroom, and the kitchen sink or fronts of the appliances didn't look clean.  I also had to have them re-mop some of the floors because they appeared to have been mopped with dirty water. At that point, I was pretty angry and wanted them out of my house. After they left, the house appeared clean other than the floors which I had to re-vacuum. I tried to give them a break because I knew they were trying to clean with non-working vacuums and a crew member with a definite attitude problem. One of the ladies clearly was po'd about something and did a terrible job with any jobs she was assigned. After they left, I started to notice other things that hadn't been done. The small wastebaskets in the bathrooms had not been emptied nor had anyone moved them to clean underneath. It appeared the area behind the toilets hadn't been cleaned. I took damp paper towels and wiped the areas behind the toilets. I was shocked at the quantity of dust and yuck that hadn't been cleaned up. I did call it in to the office and had a lengthy discussion with the person answering the phone that was not Stuart who was out of the country. I agreed to give the crew one last probationary chance if they had four crew members and working equipment. I was assured that this would be done. On July 3, the 4 person crew arrived and assured me that they had working vacuums. I told the crew chief about the previous cleaning deficiencies, and he assured me that everything would be done properly. Considering that they knew that this was their chance to redeem themselves, the cleaning wasn't any better, and they repeated the same cleaning deficiencies that I had complained about. One bathroom had to be cleaned twice. Despite that, only the tub was cleaned and the tile shower surround wasn't touched. I also requested that the master shower be re-cleaned. It was, and they still didn't do any better. On the first cleaning, that shower was sparkling clean and disinfected so I really couldn't figure out why it couldn't be cleaned as before. All of the hard floors, Travertine and ceramic tile, had some kind of weird filmy residue on it after they dried. Not sure if that was a dirty mop or dirty water. Yuck! I had to re-mop all the floors. In my two other bathrooms, the trash cans were not emptied or moved again. I had actually put a one inch square of toilet paper behind each toilet and a little cat hair dust bunny as "test dirt" to see if the area behind the toilets would be cleaned. Again, my "test dirt" remained  and behind the toilets in two of the bathrooms were not cleaned at all. My 4 yo grandson spends some days with me and is still developing his aim, if you know what I mean. I mentioned this so that the toilets would be cleaned especially well. They weren't and there was still pee residue on the outside bottom of one toilet. Isn't that Cleaning 101? The two bathrooms that have tile tub surrounds have clean tubs but the tub surrounds have not been cleaned by anyone but myself since the initial cleaning. The little spiders that sometimes make webs under the toe kicks of my cabinets and in the corners are still happily alive and undisturbed by any vacuum or broom except mine. I clean my house between these cleanings, too. I make sure any clutter is removed before they arrive so it's clear sailing. They don't even have to clean all of my house because we're in the process of remodeling and the crew is not required to do two of the bedrooms or the office. Having a cleaning service was supposed to be a stress-reliever, not cause more stress. Unfortunately, they didn't redeem themselves with this "probationary" cleaning. When my husband who isn't particularly observant arrived home that day, he immediately remarked, "I see the cleaning people didn't show up today."  If he noticed, then that was it for me. I had to cancel the service. Thankfully, my husband helped me re-clean the house on July 4th. Not exactly how we planned to spend our holiday!

They did an excellent job. Loved the crew that they sent. Two hours was more than enough time to finish my house. We are in the middle of a remodel so dust is a perpetual problem. They cleaned surfaces and around places that it never occurred to me that dust would collect. I am a picky perfectionist. After the post-cleaning walk through, I was so impressed that I hired them to be my regular cleaning service. We will have ongoing projects over the next few months which will create more dust, and I was dreading dealing with it. I look forward to having the Castle Cleaning crew keeping my house sparkling clean despite the chaos. I had to reschedule my initial appt due to illness a couple of times, and they had no problem accomodating my schedule. They understood that there may be some rescheduling as we go to work around the remodeling projects. I felt for the size of my house that the price was a bargain.

They arrived on time and did an excellent job. Before they left, Greg took my husband room to room to be sure that everything was to our liking and they had not missed anything.
