Capital City Paint & Restore

They showed up promptly on the first day & by the end of day, had broken the mounting on our (under mounted) kitchen sink. I'm not sure what they did, but they must've put something very heavy in the sink because it was no longer attached to the counter. The head painter implied that there must've been something wrong with our sink in the first place but I told him we'd never had any problems prior to their breaking it. They fixed it themselves but put it on crooked & then had to call a professional plumber to fix their mistake. It was all downhill from there. They broke 3 of my closet organizer drawers (which they replaced), they moved some of our furniture outside in the backyard & left it out there even after we asked them to bring it back in (& they had promised to do so). They also moved half of my pantry (packed in boxes) out into the backyard & left it out in the August heat for most of the week. I later discovered that they were also digging around in the boxes & eating our food! They finished off an entire tin of cookies & a number of my energy bars & threw the wrappers in the backyard. They were cleaning their equipment & dumping paint in our backyard. They got paint on our bed frame & nicked up our bed, we found paint on our leather furniture & on one of my husband's brand new suits!! Additionally, they plugged something in an outlet that tripped the breaker & knocked out the electricity to our refrigerator in our garage. When we moved back into our home almost 2 weeks later we were welcomed to rotten food & melted ice cream all over the floor of our garage. The irony was when we asked Ismael what we needed to do to prep the house for their arrival, he just told us to pile our clothes on our bed, that they would cover everything & 'make sure everything is put back like it was before'.
As for the actual paint job, they did a really sloppy job, they had to go back & touch up a couple times but they did such a crappy job that Ismael finally had to pull his crew out & get his uncle to come in & fix all their mistakes. Even after all that we are finding areas that were poorly painted or not painted at all due to laziness! There is a corner of our bedroom between two doorways that was never painted b/c they couldn't be bothered & unfortunately on the final walk through we didn't notice it until they were long gone. The job was supposed to take 1 week but ended up taking almost 2 weeks due to their mistakes. At the very least Ismael was very responsive in trying to remedy his crew's mistakes & we appreciate his efforts to right their wrongs. However, his staff did a sloppy job, were careless & more importantly, were completely unprofessional in their behavior on the job. He needs to hire better staff.
