The gentleman took it to 3 different places and he got 3 different quotes. $600 was the minimum quote. I suggested we take it to Caliber Collision. They buffed out the scratches for free. The gentleman had some other damages on the car and the other places were quoting him $1,000+. They said they could do it for $300 or $400. It is a very nice collision repair center. Their honesty and professionalism have made me a customer.

After someone ran into my vehicle in a parking lot, I hired Caliber Collision to repair it. Caliber was recommended by my insurance company (Geico) and working with them was simple (Geico has a rep in the office and rental cars on site) and they did a great job with the repair (Rear bumper and rear quarter panel). Caliber was professional, kept me informed and completed the work on time and completely.

This was an insurance repair, so I was only out my deductible. It was convenient to have the insurance appraisal, rental car service, and repair shop all at one location and housed in the same shop. I downgraded punctuality slightly because there was a problem with a part that had to be reordered. This was probably not Caliber's fault, but it still affected the service I received. All staff were very courteous and professional.

It was convenient and overall I'd say they did an excellent job. As you can tell, my car insurance provided for a rental car as part of my coverage, which made this work much easier to coordinate. I'd recommend Caliber Collision on South Lamar.

The original estimate for repairs was $1,385 but they told me this could go up depending on what they found when they took things apart and got a better look. Not surprisingly, upon deeper examination, they found more extensive damage and the total cost came out to $5,056. They said the repairs would take about a week and it took a day or two longer than that but not a huge delay considering the extra work. My deductible was only $250, so the difference was picked up by the insurance company, but I expressed concern about the increase in cost relative to the estimate. The manager carefully walked me through detailed photos of the additional damage that convinced me that their repairs were not excessive. The paint color seems to match perfectly and everything looks good as new. Considering this wa a relatively minor accident that ended up costing over $5,000, I'm sure glad I had insurance.

It was a bad experience. They had to go back and fix things three or four different times. When they would come back and fix it they would say they would be at my place at eight then they would call at nine-thirty, then they would call at eleven and would not get there until the afternoon. One time they came and did not even bring the part they were supposed to; it was a waste of my day. This happened about three times. I will not use them again in the future.
