This was a much more difficult task than it sounds. They had to put in beam supports while they replaced it, so it was more like doing two separate jobs. They were very good at keeping the mess concentrated in that one area, so it would not be tracked all through the house. It was finished in two days and the steps are much more sturdier and completely quiet now.
