Big Sky Shade

     Please do not even CONSIDER doing business with this company, he came to my house, made an estimate.  I asked for a contract - which I HAVE (not that it has done me any good).  He dug a hole in my back yard which has been sitting there for 6 weeks.  I have filed a fraud complaint with the police and a complaint with the BBB.  I have also contacted Travis County to see if their claim to have been selected to install playground shade could possibly be good. 
     This is not a grouchy unsatisfied customer, this is a client who has been bilked of hard-earned money and who will now be reluctant to use local services that do not have a presence which does not turn out to be a PO BOx (the address on Big Sky Shade website). 
    I just hope that other local businesses will communicate to this man that his conduct is unprofessional and hurts their business as well.  Apparently Austin has become a climate where the small customer is unworthy of even the courtesy of a phone call.
    Repeated contact attempts, requests for responses, and offers to accept a refund or even AN EXPLANATION have been ignored.

I called Big Sky Shade and spoke to Ed about helping me install some shades that I already had purchased. He was very nice and professional on the phone and we set up a time the following day for him to come over and check out the scene. He was right on time and we spoke about the ways to suspend the triangular shades I have over a deck in my back yard and a small stoop in front of my front door. He listened carefully to the ideas that I had and he had great suggestions and tips to make the installation stronger and more beautiful. And, the price for the whole installation was very reasonable. On the day of the install, he met me at a pipe yard where I had purchased pipe (13' long) to use with the shades and hauled them to my house free of charge. He quickly got to work digging the holes and installed the pipe perfectly. Some of the holes he had to dig were in a garden area and he didn't bother plants that were literally 3 inches from the hole he dug. He then constructed special supports out of cedar that would not interfere with my gutters but still provide a very sturdy place for the shades to attach to my house. The great thing about Ed's work is that he paid close attention to how everything looked and made sure it was aesthetically pleasing as well as sturdy. I have had a lot of remodeling work done on my house and Ed Napoliello at Big Sky Shade is by far the best experience I've had. He listened very carefully, he was clean and professional, made great suggestions, and his work is beautifully crafted and well thought out. I felt like he treated this job like it was on his own home. I give Big Sky Shade all A's gladly and easily.
