Dr. Bob is the most caring and fair vet I have ever known. When you call to make an appointment make sure you ask for him. He will charge you a fair price. He will also take the time to talk to you about your options for the next step in caring for your animal. He actually showed me the X-rays and discussed what he saw. I trust him completely. The place is not fancy, but everyone is down to earth and is there just to care for your pet. The staff is friendly and always calls the next day to see how your pet is doing.

Thought was a snake bite; was only one puncture. Spent 4 hrs in kennel IV steroids and take home antibiotics....GREAT PLACE!

Best Vet is always great. You can get an appt. quickly and they don't pressure you into anything.

I recently adopted a shepherd/lab mix from Austin Humane Society and took Lexi to Dr Bob for our first visit. They were really great and the vet took time to check her out, answer all my questions and make recommendations. It was a nice surprise to learn that he does not charge for the first visit for any shelter rescue dogs. As a volunteer at the Humane Society, I really appreciate his support for our rescue dogs. Thank you, Dr Bob. We will look forward to our next visit with you.

Everyone calls the vet there Dr. Bob and he is the only veterinarian there. He does work with the rescue grids and I have gotten both my dogs' that were rescued. I have an Australian Cattle Dog and a very spastic Jack Russell and something mix. I spent a little over $100 because I had to take my dad's dog in that had some medical issues. For my dogs, I spent $90 for a checkup and shots per dog. It is a good little package too for everything. I have nothing negative to say about them. The whole staff is very compassionate.

We adopted a boxer and noticed within a day that his ears were causing him alot of pain.
We called the clinic and had an appointment for the same day. The vet tech was so good and really enjoyed explaining each procedure that he was doing, and how it would help prevent the same problem from reoccuring.
Dr. Bob did a complete check up and diagnosised the problem. He was so easy to understand and answered all our questions! After a couple shots and instruction on treatment, our pup is feeling so much better already!

My dog has seizures and the Dr. Bob Hardy explained everything in great detail. Gave me options. He didn't go immediately to expensive procedures. Everyone in his office is enthusiastic and caring. My dog is a very nervous dog, and once the staff realized this-- they will schedule any future appointments for the very end of the day when there are less people and animals around. I have been in Austin 4 years and to 5 different vet's, this is my last one. I have finally found the "Best Vet"...!
