We were thrilled with the work and enjoyed working with Wayne and his son on the job.  They're professional and friendly, but kind of keep under the radar and do their work in the most unobtrusive way possible.  The job took a little longer than was initially projected, but that's mostly because we kept adding elements to the project.  They stayed on budget at every turn, and charged reasonable prices for the things we added on after they started.  Several neighbors have stopped by to make a point of complimenting the stonework, in particular.  Overall, these guys are honest and straightforward and reliable and mellow.  Strongly recommend them.

Best masonry people were nice, and their price was reasonable. Initially there were problems getting started due to issues at the quarry and then the weather. I was not kept informed about when he was actually going to start, and had to leave a voice message to have him call me to find out. Once the work started it was completed in a reasonable amount of time. However, after they left, I had a chance to examine the work in detail and was not pleased with the overall quality of the work. While the external masonry work on the block walls (rings) appears to be done well, when examining the other side of the block walls for the last two (of four) tree rings, the mortar joints were not well done - there were large voids in several of the mortar joints leaving an overall weak masonry joint.

Mr Rolff was extremely helpful during his initial inspection of the concrete damage, and he proposed a repair plan that I judged to be both appropriate and reasonable. He was unable to start the job immediately due to freezing temperatures and rain, and he subsequently lost my phone number and was unable to get back to me later by phone. However, he physically stopped by within a couple of days after the weather improved, and he completed the job on the same day. I was quite pleased overall by Mr. Rolff's services, and I would not hesitate to recommend him or engage his services again.

Excellent service. Wayne was easy to reach via phone and always returned my calls promptly. He came out and gave an estimate for no charge. When we were ready to have the work done Wayne was able to get out to our property quickly and get the job done. I'm really satisfied with his work - it's difficult to even tell where the repair was. The stones were placed nicely and the mortar work was excellent.

Wayne showed up when he said he would. He worked non-stop every day and, most importantly, he cleaned up after himself every day (unheard of for contractors). He is unfailingly polite, thorough, and does great work. On the last day of the job, one of his crew even combed through our grass looking for bits and pieces of rock to be sure they wouldn't cause problems for the mowers. Great job! Hire Wayne with total confidence.

Wayne returned my call 30 minutes after I left a message. We scheduled the work for the next morning. He arrived on time, assessed the situation and set about replacing the bricks. No fuss, no muss, just straight down to business. He cleaned up after himself and did a great job with the brick work.

I liked working with Wayne. It took a few weeks for him to start the job, but that was largely because of all the rain we had this year. He did the job on a Saturday (He likes to do these little jobs on the weekend). He brought everything he needed, talked about the placement of the box and brick layout with me, and checked level on every row. We now have a good looking mailbox - best on the street. A couple of my neighbors stopped by and picked up Wayne's card while he was working. I have just one regret and it s my fault - not Wayne's. Our house was built in the 80s and our brick color is no longer made. It's an orangey-red. The closest Wayne could find was a pinky-red. I didn't think it would be a big deal but when see the box directly in front of the house it's quite obvious that the two brick colors are different. In retrospect, I wish I had asked Wayne to use stone for the mailbox. I didn't price that, so I'm not sure how much it would cost.

It went very well. Wayne came over in early May and gave me a bid for the work. He and his son did the work the morning of May 17, 2007, and quickly and efficiently repaired the wall. Wayne made the wall go out a bit from the tree so I would not experience the same pushing out of the wall by the large Oak Tree's roots. He also re-cemented two other limestone rocks in limestone walls in other areas of the backyard garden and did this gratis. He and his son cleaned up very nicely after their work. When he was leaving, I asked him if he would like to be paid his $250 (I had somehow rounded up the bid in my mind) and he corrected me saying the bill was $225. He is obviously a very honest guy. He and his son are very skilled, professional, and honest. I have his name in my address book, and will call upon him again if I need more masonry work and would highly recommend him to others.

Wayne was very prompt to visit my home and give me an estimate for the work. He also was there to do the work when he said he would be. The work was done very well. The limestone walls were constructed very well with concrete and re-barb foundation and double block walls. He finished the job on time and the cost was what he said it would be. I am very happy with the results and would use him again in the future.

Mr. Rolff was punctual, professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. I left my house unlocked while I was at work, so that he could use the bathroom facilities. He's very trustworthy.

He was on time for the appointment. He worked straight through until the job was completed without any breaks. The mailbox looks better than it did before the accident.
