We are a locally owned and operated business. We pride ourselves on representing the best quality product and service in the industry. We are a Hunter Douglas Gallery Dealer and invite you to come to our Gallery to see all of the options that are available and how we can transform your windows into artwork. Our staff is highly trained and knowledgeable and will be able to show you the latest in window fashions. We all remain current on all certifications and classes for every product line in order to ensure that we are providing the best possible solution for each client. We also specialize in motorization and power solutions for window coverings, draperies and outdoor solar shading systems. These can be as intricate and as sophisticated as a client would like from operating them remotely from a phone, iPad, laptop, etc…or as simple as a switch on a wall or handheld remote. At Austintatious we listen to our clients to understand what the needs are in terms of function, the type of budget we need to work with and keep to as well as getting to know our clients in their home environment and their interaction with it. These things help us to get a feel of the clients’ style, style of home and bring all of the other necessary elements together, ultimately allowing us to create solutions that clients previously never would have dreamed of….this is what makes Austintatious different from the rest. Who is Austintatious Blinds & Shutters? We have been in business for 9 years. This is a female owned business, our installers are employees of the Company. All of the products that we carry and represent are the highest quality products and manufacturers in the industry. We are located at the Shops at the Galleria in Bee Cave, which is directly across from the Hill Country Galleria at the intersection of 2244/71 or 620/71. We have done the window coverings for 16 homes in the HBA Parade of Homes over the last several years. We work with many of the top designers and builders in the Austin area and love working directly with retail clients as well. At Austintatious we have a passion for windows and a passion for making clients happy, that is why we are here.

Terrible customer service by Collin Whiting. Had a power view hub that will not sync after paying for install services. Never worked. Hunter Douglas phone support said device was defective. Retuned to store and asked if they could get it working or refund it. Store support actually asked me to take it back home and get on the phone again with Hunter Douglas get a case number and then bring back to store. I asked them to troubleshoot as it's a lake house I'm not regularly at to see if they can get it to work or open up a case themselves. They won't. The store doesn't stand behind installations that do not work. Terrible service to push onto a customer.

The roller blinds I bought for my entire house were fine, but the pull chains they gave me were flimsy plastic and kept breaking. They replaced 3 of the blinds' chains with sturdy metal ones, but would not do the rest of the blinds I bought from them, even though they continued to break over and over again. I would give them a 4 for the look and quality of the product, but a 1 for standing behind what they sell.

From start to finish they were prompt and professional.
I drove out to their sales office to see a selection of everything that they could do, from blinds, to shutters. I ended up deciding I liked the Norman shutters, that aren't real wood (good luck telling this by how they feel). They did warn me if I was going to stain them a color, then they don't look quite the same as real wood, though not bad. I decided on going with painted white, which was my plan anyway, and they look great. They came out, measured, we chose frames etc. Flawless process, although turn around to receive the shutters from overseas is about 2months.
On install day everything went great, except one window was cut wrong. I saw the measurements they provided, so it wasn't their fault, it was built wrong by the manufacturer. A replacement was expedited and installed not too long after.
When a review involves a product, I always wait a long time before writing anything. It's been almost a year, and I have not had any issues what so ever with my shutters.
Out of three companies, two of which carried this exact product, their pricing was the best.

I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted to cover six windows. My goal was to allow the view of the green belt while providing some insulation from the sun and high electric bills. I showed them pictures and they showed me various solutions. the top windows are tinted but we can still see the sky and greenbelt. the lower windows are covered with roman shade type coverings that are color matched to the furniture and have automatic opening and closing. Forgot to mention that they came to the house and helped to pick out colors that would match the furniture. Overall excellent experience.

Overall we are very satisfied with our skylight shades and with the service we got from Austintatious. The sales rep scheduled a visit promptly and helped us pick out our shades based on what we wanted to use the room for and the color of the ceiling. The shades are a perfect match for the ceiling color. We needed to cover large skylights and the Hunter Douglas shades they recommended completely block out the intense sun. The room is a guest room and will now be cool and dark when it needs to be. The best part, they are automatic electric shades, but the remote is wireless, so there was no complicated wiring needed to get them installed. The only snags: I thought I had requested the shades to be installed flush with the ceiling and when the installers arrived they had measurements to install them inset close to the skylight glass. We decided to go ahead and have them installed inset, and they are fine. Also, the installers ran out of caulk and had to come back in a few days to seal the edges. About 6 months later, I noticed that one of the corner brackets looks loose. I believe I can fix it, but might need to all them back to make sure everything is installed correctly.

I worked with Norma and she did a truly outstanding job helping me pick out the shades that would work best with my house and installing them as well. The window treatments and solar shades were expensive but the quality of the blinds as well as the quality of installation and customer service were outstanding. You get what you pay for. There were some issues with my outdoor solar shades and Norma immediately worked to correct the issues. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a high quality product and excellent customer service

They were awesome, tremendous and courteous. The woman assisting us followed up with calls and assisted with our rebate. There was a small glitch and they came out immediately to correct. They have great customer service and I would use them again in a heartbeat. I felt I received a superior service at a very reasonable rate.

I really liked working with Rachel during our consultation. Not being familiar with all of the options available, Rachel was able to provide an option that met my needs and was exactly what I was looking for - not to mention the shutter color was a spot on match! We went with the composite wood with a 4 and 1/2 inch with invisi-tilt shutters, but she also provided some recommendations that helped us save money that we ended up using as well. I couldn't have done this without her and I would recommend to ask for her when looking for a quote. The only thing I would have liked is some proactive notice on expected delivery date of the shutters, I had to call a few times to see if they were in or not. The install went perfect as well and was pretty quick. I am definitely planning on using them in the future!

We have 2 huge windows that span the entire sides of our temple - truly a large project. The temple is contemporary design and hence we needed a lot of help to figure out what fabric, color, style matches our interior. We talked to various drapery outfitters and no-one was as professional, helpful, prompt and truly cared about what we were trying to achieve. The Austintatious team was very responsive from scheduling the appt, to getting samples shipped to us, figure out with our motor track installer regarding weight restrictions, offering ideas and suggestions etc. We had a tight deadline to make sure that the curtains are put up and they sure did deliver ahead of our deadline. The curtains turned out really beautiful and we've been getting a lot of wonderful feedback from the visitors. The team was always prompt in returning my calls when I had some questions about the different materials and lining choices. Overall I have been very happy with their service and extremely pleased with the professionalism of the whole staff from Austintatious - Sheri, Tracey, Darby etc. I would definitely use them again for all our future window dressing needs!

I could not believe how much attention, patience, and help Darby from Austintatious Blinds was willing to give us when all we needed was just one plantation shutter for a weird side light by our front door that was to giving us enough privacy. She was helpful and took as much care with our puny order as if we were coming in to place an order for an entire house of windows.
And - we absolutely love our plantation shutter for where it is and what it does. It looks absolutely amazing, and functions easily and perfectly.
All in all, a delightful experience - I highly suggest trying this place out if you are considering plantation shutters.

ordered first week of July, promised first week of August, installed at least three weeks later than that with no communication on their part about the delay. UVA film placed on two of the windows needed repair which took another three weeks and total lack of courtesy on the part of Norma when she came to our house to assess and walked out in a huff. Did get repair the next day, presumably because we refused to pay any more of the outstanding balance before it was done. Will not use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

This was a long process. I first contact Austintatious back in January for a consultation. Scheduled an appointment for Sheri to meet with us and make recommendations. She was prompt, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas, took measurements and provided an estimate that was acceptable to us. We put up a deposit equaling one half the cost of the project.
We then waited weeks to have the person who would construct and install the cornice board to examine the project, take final measurements and confirm estimate. When he submitted a final quote it was over twice the original estimate. I baulked. Sheri was very understanding and said she would seek other options. This saga continued a couple of months with no progress.
Finally I went to the store and met with the owner, Tracey Hopkins. She was one amazing lady. There were actually multiple issues for the delays including availability of carpenters who could complete the project, some issues about the size of the cornice board and other factors. Tracey offered several options from refunding our deposit to moving forward with the project under her personal supervision. With the amount of time we had invested by this time I opted to proceed with the project.
I'm so glad I did. From that point forward both Tracey and Sheri were amazing. Tracey came to the house and checked all of the measurements and offered a viable option for the cornice board. Then Tracey and Sheri were on site for the entire project and they personally took care of every detail. Later Sheri came back to make some adjustments once the drapes had hung for a while to make sure they were exactly right.

I just called them for some additional (new) repairs, since they are so good at repairing usable blinds.
Previously, they surveyed everything in our newly purchased 1992 home, to address safety issues for our grandson, and to determine the repair versus replace scenarios. I was impressed that they seemed to want to save me money when they could, and that they did not suggest replacements when repairs would suffice. Nothing I had repaired two years ago by this provider has had any problems. The person doing the installation of the new stuff was fast, efficient and professional. They are and will be my go to company for future window covering needs. Someday I may even bite the bullet and get custom plantation shutters. I think this provider would do an amazing job.

I could not be happier with their service. The consultant who came out to work with me was on top of her game. The choices of fabrics and rods were amazing. Spoke to Rachel over the phone and sent her house plans. She gave us an initial estimate on our house. The next week she came out took exact measurements and finalized the actual bid. It was almost exactly the dollar amount she had given us off of the plans. We ordered Hunter Douglas Blinds and gave her 50% down payment. The blinds came in 3 weeks later and then Austintatious held them for us since the house was not ready yet. Chris came out and did the install last week. Excellent work, blinds are great, dogs loved him. Two days later Austintatious called us to check on install and get final payment. Highly recommend, no problems what so ever.
