It went fine once they finally arrived to install the window. It was only supposed to have taken three weeks for the installation, but it was at least a couple months.

The guy was not really high pressure, unlike a lot of people peddling windows. They tend to try to pressure you into these good for the next 10 minute prices. I preferred the window I chose, to what they had to offer. The price was the second best that I got. They accommodated my needs.

There are very few times in my life when dealing with house projects that I look back and say it could not have gone better; with Windowerks and my dealings with Mr. Gary Carpenter and all the crew there; I can say this is one of those events.
From first contact to last hand shake Windowerks performed on time, on budget and wih a degree of professionalism I rarely find.
Mr. Gary Carpenter was available and responsive to any questions and did not hesitate to come on site to help me through the process.
Their attention to my project and questions made me feel as if I was a family member they were helping. A rare find in these fast paced days.

This stretched out over several months and was a very frustrating experience. There were way too many stories, excuses, and delays. Be cautious and get everything in writing.

Serviceman was prompt. Arrived exactly when he said he would. The repair was done quickly and I couldn't be happier with the service. Sheila, the scheduling person, was on top of everything. Job well done!

They came out immediately, took the measurements, and repaired it. I used to work for them years ago. The experience was perfect. They were responsive and reasonable. They were prepared. I will use them again in the future.

I did a lot of research online and on foot before contracting with Gary Carpenter. My primary objective was to qualify for the $1500 Federal Energy Tax Credit. During my research, I quickly learned that the installation was just as important, if not more so, than the windows selected. With Austin Windowerks, I got both - great windows and professional installation. First, Gary came to my house to take a look at the job and give me a rough estimate. He left several sample windows to help me decide on the window type and color. After deciding on Burris TectView AC windows, Gary and Jeff, the installer, came out to measure. After receiving a formal bid and paying a deposit, the windows were ordered. They arrived about 4 weeks later. Prior to installation of the new windows, my husband and I moved all furniture to clear a 3 foot radius of the existing windows. We also removed all window treatments. Jeff and his crew of two installed 12 windows and 2 sets of sliding doors in about two and a half days. At the end of each work day, the old windows and any debris were hauled off. Our 1974 year old house has mainly a limestone exterior with some masonry. Jeff did an excellent job trimming out the windows in both cases. The exterior mortar application is seamless with the rest of the house. At my request, Gary agreed to reinstall solar screens on two of our windows that have taken golf ball hits in the past. Since screwing the screens into the windows would void the warranty, he devised a way to install them with brackets leaving a slight gap away from the windows so the golf balls will bounce off. About a week after the job was finished, the City of Austin inspector came out to take a look at the job. No problems since Gary ensured all residential egress requirements were met upfront. Austin Windowerks has been in business for many years. Gary knows his product and does not cut corners. He made sure I was completely satisfied. When I paid the balance due, he provided a folder with complete documentation on the windows. It included warranty information and the documents I’ll need to apply for the Federal Energy Tax Credit. I would highly recommend this company for window replacement.

I had them replace all of the windows in my late 1970's home and transform one sliding door into beautiful French doors. They did all the work really fast. They are very precise and overall the company is good to work with.
