Austin Key Guy

USE THIS GUY - Michael was great. The dealer where I bought my bike scoffed at the thought a locksmith could help me. They tried to sell a new ignition and gas cap set (OEM order, 10 day shipping turnaround, installation scheduled through their shop) -- probably $500 and 30 days. Instead, Michael comes to the rescue and COMES TO MY HOUSE TWICE, rekeys everything, in less than 24 hours. Angieslist looks good, business looks good, I feel great.

I got first quoted one price then another the second time and it was totally different when the service was done. I had mentioned that I found him through Angie’s list but he forgot to apply it when I asked him right after the transaction took place, I was told it was too late. Door still had some dust around it. Peep hole had exposed wood. He was punctual.

Great and fast

Michael did a great job helping us solve for our door lock issues (old doors with random situation on each door). He is polite, fast and helpful. The price is a little higher because he had to drill into 3 doors to fit the new locks.

Awesome awesome awesome. Adam made two brand new keys to my Scion tC without a master key. So he cut them from scratch basically and programmed them to work on my car. He arrived within an hour after I called him for service and was very prompt. It took about thirty minutes for me to have two new keys to drive away in my car.

Great! The owner came himself, in uniform, and met me at my work garage. I had locked my keys in the car along with everything else so there was no way to contact me once we made arrangements. I was concerned this would pose a problem but it didn't. I would definitely recommend and use again. Courteous and prompt.

I managed to lose my entire set of keys to the abyss that is Austin nightlife (like ya do). The next morning, called around to several businesses who either (1) didn't pick up or (2) quoted me an exogenous price to replace the key to my Scion.
The Key Guy was quick to answer, quoted me a hella reasonable price to replace it *and* my house key if I could provide a photo of it (easy fix, I have a roommate with a house key and a smartphone), and he was at my car in about 1 hour's time. In no time, he had replaced both my car and house keys. Problems. Solved.

Overall: 5 stars. Markedly professional. Polite (albeit slightly gruff). Punctual. Do recommend.

Scheduling was simple and fast. Everyone at Austin Key Guy is incredibly friendly. Work was done quickly and well, and affordably. Definitely recommended.

He was responsive to my inquiry and was able to come out quickly. I am always a little uneasy with who will show up when you want something done around your house, Adam was awesome!! He was prompt and worked neatly and quickly. Overall so friendly, polite, and professional. I am actually am sending him to do the same for my Mom! I will definitely be using Austin Key Guy for anything I need in the future.
