I called another company as over the holidays we were having trouble with our alarm system. I have had the other company before. They never returned my call. Then I called Arc Fault Electrical Services, LLC. He is an electrician and he just came under Angie's List not too long ago. I called them and he was very nice. He came out here and looked at it over the Christmas holidays. He said that we either need a new fire alarm or a new battery. We had put in a new battery and it hadn't worked. I said why not we try out another new battery because my son put it in and he is not very electrical. I said he might have it in backwards for all I know. We went in and he put in a new one. About 2 weeks later it started doing the same thing. It went off, every time I use the oven it went off. He came back and put in a new fire alarm. He explained how it works and everything. He charged me just a little fee for the whole thing because he felt bad that it didn't work the first time. He really went above and beyond. He came out on holidays. He was really busy. He would call me and let me know if he is going to be late or if he is hung up with another job that he would be there at such and such a time and then he would be here. I have used the other company for a long time and for several occasions, even before I came on to Angie's List. This time they did not respond at all and I was surprised. I thought that the cost was pretty decent. The next time he came out with a new alarm system altogether he charged us 30 dollars. He wanted to make sure that the work was right. He felt bad that we just should have gone ahead and put in a new fire alarm. It was me that was like let's try a new battery because of my son. If we had put in a new alarm system the last time then we wouldn't have had to have him come back. He did, he came back and put in a new system for us and we have had no trouble since. He knew what he was doing. He was so busy over the holidays and it seemed like a lot of people were having electrical problems at that time. He would always call and tell me when he would be here. He would either email me or call me. The communication was very good.
