Very disappointed. This was my second roofing addition by AGR. It is a very nice structure, unfortunately it was not built to the contracted design due to some miscommunication with their foreman. The cover was supposed to provide a 1-foot overhang on all sides of the deck, but I was shortchanged on the front and back sides. They offered to place a gutter system on the back side to mitigate rainfall dripping on the deck's surface, which is not what I wanted, and does not solve the shortage on the front of the deck. It is not what we discussed, it is not what we agreed to, and it is not what I paid for. The crew's clean up protocols are also less than desirable. I continue to find roofing screws, bottle caps, scrap metal, and saw blades scattered about the work site. AGR made a mistake, and all their efforts to date to correct it have fallen short of my expectations. After 6 months, AGR continues to drag their feet on resolving this dispute. Their communication has been reactive and comprised largely of excuses and finger pointing. Solutions were promised and when pressed for delivery met with more excuses and finger pointing. The original structure had only two requested design elements, posts were to be set at all four corners and spaced equidistant, with the cover to provide a 1-foot overhang on all sides of the 16x24 deck. After explaining my requisites, Mark had to edit his field notes to reflect the final agreed upon length of 25’. The field notes were not correctly transcribed, a mistake of an amateur. I reiterate that this is a nice structure, and it will most likely last for a great many years. This was a simple problem to resolve, and I am very disappointed that Mark refused to make this right. I may cautiously recommend to others, but I will not use AGR for any of my future projects.

Mark provided a detail estimate of the cost and made suggestions to improve the project.  The work was preformed during very hot weather.  Exceeding 105 degrees. All the work teams, cement, carpenters, painters and roofers had lead workers to oversee the work when Mark was not present.  Our neighbors were impressed how hard and long everyone worked.  We are very happy with the results.  Mark was very easy to work with and very professional.
I would use All Good Roofing again.

The workers showed up on time and actually had a better way of installing the carport than Mark did. The work was done well and the carport is working beautifully. I had used them before to make a sun room out of a back porch area. That sunroom, years later, is still keeping cool in the Summer. I had been wanting to use them again, but they have not been available.

He promised a lot and had a reasonable bid for the work. But after demolition, when the work started, he left unsupervised unqualified works to do the job.  When I pointed out that they weren't extended the drive as agreed, phone calls were made.  At this point he said he would go ahead and extend, but the big work requiring machines a was done and the rest was left to one man how appeared to be following different directions than what had been agreed upon.  Mark's excuse for this what that "the city "cam be" and said we couldn't expand into the easement.  SInce the expansion was a critical part of the project this was a BIG deal to me.  If the easement was a problem it should have been known and explained in advance and an alternative to the expansion we'd agreed upon discussed.  Instead I got a sloppy uneven expansion that did not meet the main criteria -- creating a path along the drive way for renters to enter the back apartment.  Disappointed with drive way and will have to find another way to achieve the expanded walking space.    The walkways in the back yard were fine except in 2 key parts,  The entrance to the upstairs apartment and the entrance into the utility room.  In both instances the unsupervised worker made the easiest choice, neglecting to conform with the rest of the design.  Mark actually told be that "you can only do so much with concrete.  He clearly did not want to fix the problem and attempted to convince me that this was good and what I should expect.  The walkway to the front door was going to curve out to the curb. like the drive way it sat next to, rather than hitting it in a straight line.  The "curves" were 4 uneven lines and, no curves and without symmetry.  He told me over and over again how good it looked, when it was clear I was not pleased with the result.   Every offer or suggestions to fix was going to cost more money, plus he had the gawl to tell me to pay the men extra and not hurt their feelings.  There was supposed to be a curved pathway connecting the driveway to the walk way.  This was put in as an afterthought, even though it had been part of the original plan,  There was no curve to the path and it was bucked in the middle.  They had concreted over one of my sprinkler heads.   Again, Mark tried to convince me "it looks good. there is only so much you can do with concrete"  I had that completely removed.  This was the first of many home improvement projects for the house.  I cannot recommend his company again.  If someone other than Mark can come by and discuss my options and bring the project in line with what we'd agreed to do, I'll happily remove this critique.  But as of today, I am very unhappy with the work and did not get the extra curbside appeal or additional function  I invested in.

"To find our customer was dissatisfied with the job came as a surprise to us We have been in the Home improvement business a long time and rely on customer communication when they feel something is not quite right. We worked with her and her scheduling so that she would be there to inspect and approve the forms as the work progressed. The “unsupervised, unqualified” worker is actually our Concrete Foreman, who has years of experience and can read plans and diagrams. When the customer pointed out items she was not happy with during the framing and forming, we went to great lengths to change them (within reason) and appease her. Again, the customer had the opportunity to voice her concerns or opinions instead of approving the forms and allowing the concrete to be poured. The total project diagram was included in her original signed contract. (including the easement part of the driveway and the sidewalk ) We always inquire about irrigation systems and help the customer by referring reputable companies to relocate or cap off sprinkler heads when we know it will be in the area of construction The customer has not contacted the office regarding any “buckling” or even that she was not happy with the completed work. In fact , she showed no concerns in the layout until the job was completed and balance was due. We work very hard to accommodate our customers in improving their homes with our services. Unfortunately, as in life, there are times of misunderstanding, but we strive to do everything in our power to resolve the issue with the customer. Sincerely AGR"

We bought a home with a large patio that was covered in slate, which was unattractive and also got hot as hades in the summertime, and had a dangerously high step around the perimeter.
I knew I wanted some kind of cover or pergola but wasn't really sure what, and was at a loss about a cost efficient way to deal with the slate. I must have called 10 deck and patio companies and the majority of them would not return estimates or were very unhelpful in coming up with a solution for me, or wanted to do a $25000 makeover.
I found All Good here on Angie's List and was impressed with the variety of covers on the website. Mark arrived and immediately his mind began churning. He suggested that we pour 3 inches of concrete directly over the slate, and install an aluminum patio cover complete with three fans. He also gave me ideas for 'phase 2' of the project.
The concrete guys were fast and professional and cleaned up after themselves.
We absolutely loved Paul and Tracy, the husband and wife who installed our patio. Our children adored them. Paul went above and beyond, installing a new piece of wood on my door and a matching porch light on the garage and hooks for my plants. Tracy is a horticultural guru and gave me much advice about my yard, and they even pruned my lemon tree for me.  Y'all, they brought us fresh eggs from their chickens!  At the end of the job, they arranged the furniture back on the new patio and left it spic and span.
Mark was very professional throughout the entire process and everything was done exactly according to plan.
This was a lot of money for us, and therefore we were nervous that we would not be happy with the result. We are thrilled to say that it exceeded our expectations.

We didn’t have a great experience with them.  They were on time and they did the job but basically they made a slub that completely pulls water so we have a really big flash in it.  It pulls like a giant lake of water every time it rains and we tried to get back with them for them to help fix it and they wouldn’t and they also like apparently did not put cement on top so we have a like the rebar coming through the top now.  That was long ago – 3 years.  I don’t remember I think it was around $8000.

I liked working with him because of his honesty, he was very frank about expectations and what was actually possible. His estimates were all very accurate as well. I've even recommended him to some of my colleagues at work.

They arrived promptly, and spent about 2 hours scouring the roof for nail pops, loose shingles, and other anomalies. After going over the entire roof about 4 times, we went over the details and options, and were good to go. They didn't push a replacement on us (which we don't need, but have heard from other vendors), and left us with a credit to apply to future work. Overall, we were very pleased with our service.

It went well. They were very friendly. They worked quickly and I thought the quote was good and they did nice work. The only thing I didn't like is that as soon after they left, we discovered that our underground sprinkler system had a few broken pipes and we believe it's when they slammed their pick axes into the ground. We believe it broke our pipe there. When we talked to them about it, they said it wasn't them and they weren't going to do anything about it. It wasn't a big cost but that's the only thing we didn't like. They weren't willing to concede that perhaps their workers had caused the broken pipes.
Response from All Good Roofing & Additions
"Regarding this customer, it is obvious that no one knows who broke what underground where the customer ordered the work. We are a concrete contractor and we express to all our customer that any sprinkler system underground in the area of construction is the customer's responsibility to remove, we even go as far as to refer them to a certified sprinkler company prior to scheduling our work so that this is not an issue."

Oscar and others from All-Good-Roofing were diligent, thorough workers.  They were courteous, worked long hours, and cleaned up after the work was completed.  They met our expectations.  Several houses in our neighborhood have had leaks around the chimneys, so the problem may have been a combination of faulty designs of original crickets, shifting, and the extreme temperatures of 2011.

I had them remove the old walkway and put in a new one. The concrete work was ok. There was a chipped tile right where the concrete work was done, which was a minor issue. I would assume if a company broke it while doing the work, to fix it and make it presentable. The workers said they would come out and fix it and never did. I did not care for the gentleman's manner either.
Response from All Good Roofing & Additions
"I will contact this customer regarding the broken tile, there is no record of him calling the office to report it. Also the Big Deal states that there is a minimum of 300 sq ft per job and that there is an average of $1300 to do a job that size with the big deal is a credit off that amount."

I wasn't 100% happy because of the issues we had. After we got our Jacuzzi, there was leak and water was running down the pad. We found out completely after the fact that the pad was not level and was on a slant. The workers did a great job and it wasn't necessarily their fault, it was how they were directed.

We began researching roofing options and gathering quotes at the start of the year. Mark from All Good was professional, punctual, and answered all our questions from start to finish. Of the six quotes we received , they were not the least expensive, nor were they the most expensive but the level of customer service and warranties regarding the materials and labor was far superior to the others. Our installation started on the Thursday before Easter weekend and the crew worked hard from 8am -7pm everyday until Monday with the exception of Sunday. Installing a metal roof is a very labor intensive job. Each metal panel was made and cut to size on sight. This crew did an amazing job and our roof is gorgeous. Neighbors continue to stop and offer compliments.
Ps. We have had several heavy rains since installation with no problems.

The existing concrete patio was 30x10, we had it enlarged to 35x14.  We also had a custom, rustic looking patio cover installed.
AGR was the only contractor (and I interviewed 4) that was willing to find and use the rustic tree posts that we wanted for the support columns.  The issue here being, that in the future we would like to screen part of the patio in, and with the posts being round, other contractors said that wouldn't be possible.  Mark, with AGR, said he could do it, and it would be as bug proof as if we used traditional square 4x4 posts. We were going for a rustic, country, open rafter look, with the cedar tree posts, and cedar rafters and headers.  It turned out great! The rafters are rough cut cedar, the posts are tree trunk cedar, and the ceiling is 2x6 yellow pine.  I bought Sikken Cedar stain and his painter subcontractor did and excellent job staining the whole thing and matching the 3 different wood types so that they all blend naturally.

We had one issue with the quality of one of the rafters.  As soon as I bought it to Mark's attention, he had his foreman remove the decking that was already installed and replace the defective rafter before going any further.

The only negative aspect of the whole project is the actual concrete extension.  My backyard slopes down pretty good, so there was a noticeable large drop off on one end of the patio.  So Mark suggested adding wrap around stairs during the concrete pour, and that's what we did.  We now wish we would have continued the stairs the entire length of the patio.  It is still a large drop off (>10 inches), which is not only uncomfortable but a bit dangerous.  The workers added  a bunch of dirt before they left, but that still did not rectify the issue, and we just had rain, so that is all washed away now anyway (exposing  the ugly left over concrete).  I wish the "professional" concrete guys would have brought the drop off height to my attention, and we would have extended the steps all the way around.  I inquired about adding steps after the fact, but it seems it would not be  cost effective due to the concrete companies minimum order requirements.

The other issue with the patio extension is parts of it a very rough and unable to walk on without shoes.  It seems I have to have the concrete guy back out to "buff" it down... for an extra charge of course.
Overall, the patio cover looks great and is just what we envisioned.  I only wish the concrete guys had as much attention to detail as the construction guys and the painter.

AGR had their concrete guy come back out to repair the rough concrete.  It feels and looks great now!
