My thermostat got corroded due to a past moisture issue in my house so I had no A/C. The A/C went out yesterday afternoon. I bought a thermostat at Lowes and attempted to replace it myself. Everything went fine except that the A/C was now blowing hot air. I went and bought a second thermostat only to have the same issue. I called Ed Guttes with Air Werks because I wanted a small one man kind of company, not a big giant company where all the technicians work off commission. I called Ed at 730 at night, desperate to fix my situation. I didnt expect him to call back since it was past business hours but he returned my call with in 10 minutes! Then he tried to help me fix my problem by instructing me on the phone of some solutions to try (for free). When all else failed and I couldn't get the problem resolved, I scheduled Ed to come out to fix it the next day. He showed up, fixed the problem in like two minutes and didnt charge me a penny because the fix was pretty simple. Ed Guttes with Air Werks was so helpful and honest, I still cant believe he didnt even charge for a service call. I will definitely be using this company for all A/C and heat related issues in the future.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ed has serviced my unit a couple of times and was honest about saying that it didn't need replacing then but that I should start saving my money. The time finally came and he provided me with a bid with 5 different options ranging from the least expensive solution for my house to the most energy efficient. He clearly laid out all of the costs including rebates and walked me through the benefits and drawbacks of each system. Once I made my selection, he was able to install it within two days. He has always been responsive, punctual and professional and his installers were the same. He took the time to walk me through the new system and setting up the thermostat. Even showed me the portion installed in the attic. He guarantees his work and the first annual check up is included. He filled out all of the rebate paperwork for me to submit and gave me instructions for registering my system for the warranty. He is very knowledgeable (electrical engineer) and honest. I would highly recommend him for any AC install, regular maintenance, or repair.

My AC died during a 100 plus degree day. The technicians checked it on Wednesday morning, added refrigerant and installed a part. I was told that the unit might last a little longer but I should consider a replacement. Obviously, the problem was bigger than they were able to detect because by late afternoon, the house was well up into the 90s. Eddie had already promised to provide an estimate for replacing the heat pump and all that went with it. I had his estimate that evening and I placed my order on Thursday morning. They were here by 8:00 Friday morning and all was completed by 11:00. The service call and part charges were refunded. The team was neat, very professional and courteous. Eddie went into great detail on the new thermostat and was happy to take me up into the attic to see what they had installed when I requested a tour. He also provided the forms and instructed me in how to get a rebate from my electric company and a tax credit. A system check in the spring will be at no charge.

A friend gave me the name of a member of the team because of his character in other working opportunities. I called the company purely on that recommendation and I am very glad I did. The unit is working great and I am a very please customer.

We have used Air Werks for routine maintenence several times in the past, as well as for one emergency. The owner is very nice, and he's smart, experienced, and punctual. Without asking, they remove their shoes before entering our house, and they clean up when they are done. They work quickly and quietly, and their bills are very reasonably. I can't imagine ever calling a different company.
