+ -1 moreEric was running a little behind from a previous job but he called ahead of time and we moved it a little later same day. Eric was friendly, honest, knows what he is doing. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am leasing a house and with the property owner's permission, I paid for the inspection. Eric did an excellent inspection and testing. Description of Work: Eric performed an inspection of the HVAC that was showing signs of not draining the condensation properly. the drain pipe was clogged (he cleared it out) and the old duct tape was a mess (he resealed it like new). The AC has a slight small micro leak. Eric added 1 pound of Freon-lubricant to the system.

+ -1 moreMy first contact with Eric was via the phone and you might have a little hard time understanding him (strong accent). In person, it was not a problem at all. He was careful and patient in his overview of what was happening. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us keep our air conditioner functioning well for many more years (vs., trying to sell us a new one). He was very polite, prompt and professional. Since he left our air conditioner seems to be cooling the air better than ever!
Description of Work: First he did the inspection on a 15 year old air conditioner. The second visit he clean the coils on both the inside and outside of the air conditioner and had to turn the fan right side up (because the previous company had installed the fan upside down).

Another A/C company had come out and tried to get us to buy an entire new unit by pricing the coil replacement cost super high. Eric explained that he could replace the coils for 30% less than the other company, and he did a very nice job. I need to replace the coils in our other unit also, so I will use Eric again for that.
Description of Work: He replaced the coils in one unit and added a second intake duct to reduce the static pressure on one unit.

+ -1 moreEric's bid came in impressively lower than the competition, and I'm SO glad I went with him. His customer service is very impressive and he's a genuinely great guy. When he was installing the new system (on one side of a duplex I purchased) he checked up on the other system, which is about 10 years old, free of charge. He noticed there was some wiring issues causing it to trip it's breaker and fixed the problem for me free of charge. He also installed new thermostats for me in both units and created a much needed solution for a return air duct problem I had, free of charge. On top of that, his AC bid was much lower than the next lowest bid, which was for a lower seer rated unit. With this whiplash hot/cold weather so typical of fall in Texas, I've had the change to test out both AC and heater and they work great! I'll definitely be using him for my AC needs in the future and will recommend him to anyone I know who needs work.
Description of Work: Eric replaced a VERY old AC/compressor/gas furnace with a great 16 seer york system, which qualified me for some Austin energy and tax rebates.

+ -1 moreFantastic service and price. Couldn't ask for more. These big AC companies could take lessons from Eric on how to do business. The last two I had out here charged outrageous prices and spent most of their time trying to sell me expensive service contracts Eric didn't pull that nonsense on me. Eric just did everything right. He's a winner!!! I'll nominate Eric for any award Angie's list has.
Description of Work: Came home late and found water upstairs where the upstairs AC had overflowed into one of the bedrooms because the drain pipe had clogged up and the overflow shut-off switch had failed to work. I called Eric and left a message for him and he called back the next morning and came out that afternoon. He cleaned the drain line and replaced the broken overflow shut-off, repaired a whole in the duct, checked the refrigerant level in the compressor and traced down another problem that had kept the AC from properly as we had noticed it was not cooling well. We have a two stage compressor and he found that the 10 year old thermostat was only calling for one stage of the compressor. He got the system working and cleaned the coil while he was at it. He came back today with a new programmable two stage compressor thermostat that is much easier to program than the old one. He installed that, rechecked the refrigerant levels in the compressor to make sure there was not a leak, and then went through the steps to make sure I knew how to program the new thermostat. I found Eric on Angie's list and was amazed at how many positive comments he had about him. The stories are true. I am an Eric Sulter fan now and will always use him for my AC and heating work. His prices are much more reasonable than other companies we've used. Eric is a winner and is one of the most conscientious people I've ever met. My only concern is that he's going to get so much business from Angie's list that he'll be busy the next time I need him!!! But I'm sure he'll find a way to get over here.

+ -1 moreCame home late and our house was over 90 degrees. Air Movement had great reviews, so we called them, and they called back within minutes of our call. Scheduled an appointment for 9 am, they arrived just before, identified the problem quickly, AC fixed, works better than it did, and it was less expensive than we thought. We could not be happier. We would use them again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Air Movement replaced the dead capacitor on our AC unit. They also told us we were low on Freon, which we could believe, so they added additional Freon as well.

+ -1 moreEric arrived, worked steadily, and explined every step to me. He did not try to sell me additional service, but did answer all my "what if" questions regarding future maintenance. He spent over an hour, and certainly earned his money in the hundred degree heat.
Description of Work: Eric was on time, and spent over an hour servicing our ancient HVAC. He serviced the outside unit, and added coolant. Then he examined the inside unit coil, which no previous service person had done. He showed me my problems, including a poorly installed vent pipe (could have killed us!), and some corrosion.

+ -1 moreEric spent approximately 2 hours each in two homes (mine and my girlfriend's) inspecting the systems. He was extremely prompt, professional and knowledgable. He took photographs of issues that he found so it was easy to see the issue and communicate back to us, and unlike others, did not try to needlessly upsell additional services. He pointed these out as areas for future monitoring, and in fact, recommended that we not do any additional work at this point. I will definitely call Eric again for regular maintenance, and if I ever have any issues with my or my girlfriend's AC systems.
Description of Work: There was a complete semi-annual review and inspection of 4 air conditioning systems, including pressure testing and leak detection.

+ -1 moreOur A/C stopped cooling, and I called Air Movement early in the morning and left a voice message explaining the problem. Eric soon called me back, and within a couple of hours from that time he had come to our place and diagnosed and fixed the problem! It turned out that a safety switch had flipped because water had gotten backed up. He flushed the water and checked the freon level. We were very happy with the quick service. Eric was very courteous and professional, and we will definitely call him in the future if our A/C needs service or repair. Highly recommended.

+ -1 moreI got home at 7pm and my house was 95 degrees. It was awful. I called several providers and Eric called back very quickly. We scheduled an appointment for the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem (fan motor and capacitor were shot.) He tried three vendors who were all out of stock on the part, but took the motor anyway and found another one that would work and modified it to fit. He checked the rest of the system and topped off the refrigerant. I was fully prepared to pay over $600, but it was only about $375 - within $35 of what was quoted, despite the problem finding the replacement motor. Eric was very prompt and professional and I would definitely recommend him.
Description of Work: Our AC motor went out, the capacitor and the refrigerant was low. Eric replaced all three.

+ -1 moreOur 2006 American Standard Air Conditioner wasn't cooling this morning. I checked Angie's List for nearby ac service companies (southwest Austin) which had good reports. After reading the reports, I called Air Movement. They even had several coupons for Angie's customers. I left a message for service and within the hour had a return call with service set up for 1:30 p.m. Eric called at noon as he could make it out earlier than anticipated and inquired if he could come out early for the service call. YAHOO!! He was at the house by 12:15 p.m. and quickly identified the problem (capacitor). He showed me the bad part . After he installed the new part, he stayed to check the refrigerant as well as ensure the unit was cooling the house and there were no unforeseen problems. The cost was already reasonable and to get a discount on top of that was wonderful! I heartily recommend Air Movement and will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: The compressor's run capacitor was replaced.

+ -1 more- Eric was 10 minutes early to our noon appointment (how often does that happen?!?) - He diagnosed the blockage and fixed it in 30 minutes - He provided guidance on what to do next (the draining line had no slope, could not drain properly, etc.) I will call Eric @ Air Movement for all my Heating A/C needs. He was professional, punctual, and provided a great price. Simply awesome.
Description of Work: I had a blocked AC unit condensation line that was clogged and was flooding a bedroom at my rental property. I called Eric at 9 am and he worked me in his schedule the same day at noon.

He was on time, which made a great first impression, he knows that my time is valuable...I always notice if a service provider calls me back in a timely manner and shows up for the appointment on time. Eric was very friendly and polite, he explained what he'd be doing and what was included in the service. I had bought a new filter and he installed it and did the check of the compressor and the outside unit, said all was fine, and answered my questions. The deal covers one more visit, but I am happy enough with the service to continue having the seasonal checks done at the regular price. This is a great way to "get acquainted" with a new company.

Description of Work: Our upstairs air conditioner had quit working. I called Air Movement after seeing the excellent reviews on Angie's List and left a message yesterday morning. The call was returned in a timely manner. An appointment was scheduled for Eric to come at 4pm that same day, he arrived on time, and started assessing the problem. An indoor coil had frozen and he checked numerous other items both in the attic and outside and advised us about some maintenance things to do. He came back the following morning to check and make sure everything was working and complete the repairs. In 100 degree heat, we are happy to have our a.c. back on! Great job, Eric!

His competency made this already stressful time more tolerable and for that I will highly recommend his work. Since then, I've called him for several jobs relating to A/C Repair and troubleshooting as well as regular HVAC maintenance for several other investment properties. He's professional, courteous and shows up when he says he will be there. Every experience I've had has been 5 Star!
Description of Work: During the option period/contract phase of selling our house, the inspection report revealed several issues that the new buyers asked to be repaired as a requirement for purchase and closing. The work involved sealing ducts, insulating refrigerant lines, dealing with the flue pipe--(all things that weren't to code as a result of shoddy work that was done when the home was built.)

+ -1 moreWe had just moved into the house. The initial reason for our call was that our main house Air conditioning unit had stopped working. Eric showed up when he said he would and called ahead when he was about a half hour out. We had cleared away stuff that would slow his ability to get to the three a/c units which were all located in the attics of the house. Eric started his checks of the equipment, and quickly informed us that the main a/c unit was fine. It turns out that what we thought was a non-functioning light switch in the attic was actually a cut-off switch for the Air Conditioner. Anyone going up the stairs to the attic would think it controlled the attic light and switch it off. This situation would have been a prime opportunity for a service person with less integrity to fleece the homeowner with some expensive solution to the "problem", but Eric wasn't that type. We elected to have him service all three units while he was here, and he did it for fair price. He also pointed out a better way he could set up the emergency condensate sensors. We elected to have that work done next Fall when we'll certainly be calling them for our Heating Season tune-up.

We were very impressed with all the positive feedback he received on Angie's List and are glad to be adding to them. We are very pleased and will be using Eric for all our AC/heating needs.
Description of Work: I called Eric for an estimate and advice on cooling our master bedroom that never seemed to be as cool as the rest of the house. He suggested putting in an extra air vent. He was very caution and safety orientated and didn't do a rush job but was very maticulate in performing and detailing his actions. I was very impressed with his patience with me watching and scanning his work as he was doing each task. I really appreciated his points of recommendation and opinions of all the questions I asked or referred to. I would highly recommend him to my friends and relatives. Description of Work: Tune -Up and AC Inspection which consist of 1. cleaned indoor coil 2.flushed condensate drains 3.checked refrigerant cycle 4.checked electrical connections 5. checked for leaks 6.added 1.5 lbs R22 refrigerant. 7.added handpipe "gaz". Recommended outdoor coil need to be cleaned and Replace flexible gaz pipe next winter. Recommended also I needed aheavier air filter for the system and wrote down the exact measurements and place where I could fin this product. Inspected and worked on inside and outside systems.

Maintaining an HVAC system is vital to do annually because if a problem is not caught in time it could cost you the entire unit. Mr. Sulter was standard in the maintenance he performed and found a couple of important repairs that were needed. He gave me a very reasonable price to correct them.
Description of Work: I called Mr. Sulter for HVAC maintenance. He was punctual, very pleasant and efficient. He found 2 problems that needed attention and gave me a very reasonable price to correct them. He's definitely on my A list.

+ -1 moreEric came out the same day that I contacted him, and he had been booked all day.........which means that he came out at 7 o'clock at night. He did all he could that night and came back the next day to finish it. Eric was on time, very friendly and I'd highly recommend him to anyone! I will definitely use him in the future!
Description of Work: Our ac unit wasn't blowing any cold air, and we couldn't get the thermostat on. Eric checked the furnace, and installed a temporary thermostat, along with putting in some coolant Monday night. He came out the next day and checked the levels, brought a brand new thermostat for upstairs and downstairs areas and made sure that we didn't have a leak, that everything was running the way it normally should.
