AB Cement LLC

Consumer beware! My 20 x 25 slab I got from AB Cement is cracking in several places after only 4 months. The cost of the slab was not cheap. I reached out to Tony Brown the owner for assistance but have not gotten any help. The 3 guys working the job left a huge mess. There were cigarette butts, patches of wet cement in my grass and they left debris on the slab while settling. Halfway through the job they ran out of cement and now there is a distinct line where one section dried before the next section was poured. They told me it would eventually seam together but of course, that never happened. The crew didn't even come with all the equipment needed for the job so they asked me to rent a $250 cement buggy to help them out. They were not prepared for the job with equipment or supplies. Do not use AB Cement unless you want to have to pay for a second job to be done.

Tony did a great job. price was great. job was done quickly, We had a couple of requests create flat surfaces for planters, and Tony was happy to oblige us. He also made some recommendations which hadnt occurred to us, which lead to a better outcome. He also came back to expand the walkway, when it seemed like that standard one he poured wouldnt be wide enough once planters were put in place. Impressed with Tony's communication and professionalism.

We were really disappointed with Tony and AB Cement. It took 2 whole months to finish the pour for our simple 13x9ft foundation for a shed. The first pour cracked immediately and they blamed the concrete they used, even though they said it seemed off when they were handling it and they poured it anyway. We had to wait for them to come back, break it up, and haul it away before they could pour it again. Because of their failure to follow through, the pad sat cracked for 3 weeks while Tony repeatedly said he would be out to fix it. After they came and broke it up, a huge pile of concrete chunks sat in our backyard for about a month. The project was eventually finished, but the process was very painful. Communication was poor - we had to call on an almost daily basis to get any progress. They rarely showed up on the days they said they would, and sometimes showed up without notice, so their schedule was totally unpredictable. Tony was not pleasant to work with, and they broke our wheelbarrow when they used it without asking. I would not recommend this company. Be careful when going with the lowest bid you receive.

Fantastic!!. Mr. Brown promptly returned my phone call and came the same day to give an estimate of the requested work. He listened closely to my concerns and had several suggestions on the repairs. His crew began work 2 days later. They were respectful, courteous and very hard working. They notified me when they arrived and when they were leaving. They cleaned the area daily. On the third day of the project, I was asked to contact Mr. Brown by the workmen. When I spoke with him, he was concerned about how the finished product on the retainer walls might look and he was not content with it. He had sent the workmen with huge stone pavers to cap the top of the walls and wanted me to see if I liked the effect. I was pleasantly surprised at his commitment to produce the best outcome for the customer. The installation of the caps certainly upgraded the appearance. Mr. Brown also completed the power washing to the house stone exterior that my son had started and at no additional cost! I believe Mr. Brown is truly committed to serving his customer and takes great pride in his work. I've already had several neighbors inquire about his service.

From beginning to end, everything was great! Tony came over the same day I called and he gave me a quote on the spot. He started work the very next day and was able to complete everything the same day. It was one of the easiest interactions I've had in a long time and, best yet, the work product was perfect. Highly recommended! A++
