I purchased the A+ Angie's List deal for a Handyman for 4 hours for $129. Jason was great. He showed up on time, and not only provided quality work, but was also very quick. He was able to complete all the tasks I requested in a short amount of time; which would have taken me all day. After working long hours all week, while still going to school, last thing I wanted to do was be stuck in the house installing stuff all day. I can now enjoy some of my weekend! I will definitely be contacting Jason and A+ for work in the future!

The electrician at A-Plus did an excellent job upgrading many of my wall power plugs to those fancy ones with the USB ports. He was prompt, courteous and very quick to replace all the plugs and face plates. Everything went very smooth. I will most definitely keep A-Plus in mind for future work and I would totally recommend this company. They are awesome!!!

The thing I didn't like was that they evidently did not glue in the overflowed drain hose in the upstairs and attic in the air conditioning and the thing got loose and ruing by ceiling later on, that wasn't good, so we really hadn't used them since. It has nothing to do with the company, I think the guy just, I don't know what happened. They are okay company. Overall they were good except for the one guy. I would probably not use them again.

My dogs had escaped through the fence and I needed repairs. He fixed the gate and replaced some posts. He was courteous and efficient.

Josh's team came through and did a outstanding job, not to mention they were quick and courteous. They were very polite, professional, and knowledgeable which was very comforting. For the amount of work they had to do to fix my gates, I thought the price was very reasonable. The electrician was also outstanding. He was very thorough and we are planning to call them back out to replace more outlets and light fixtures throughout the house. Great company! I will definitely use them again in the future. I've also recommended them to several of my friends needing handyman work. Love them!!

I purchased a "Big Deal" fence maintenance package. I was quickly contacted via Angie's List messaging to arrange for service on my preferred date. Both the original and follow-up contacts were professional and upbeat. The personable, professional and efficient service person arrived on time and then quickly assessed my needs. Repairs were performed in a timely manner; with the gate adjustment result better than I expected. All contacts and service from A-Plus has been exceptional. I highly recommend this company.

It went great and we subscribed to the annual service. The man who did the work was professional and was able to explain things intelligently and accurately. I was impressed.

Sadly I would not use this company or recommend them. The owner is very nice. The lady in the office is very nice. About there is where it stops. It seems like no one else in the company has a clue what is going on. I had them come out to give me a quote for an immediate (that day, next day etc) repair of a wall we thought had water damage, and some drywall repair. Once they got there I told them there was also a door frame that needed leveling and a door that needed replaced immediately. The rest of the job was a full home remodel, from the ground up, in and out. I was told numerous times that someone was coming for the wall repair, and the first couple of times someone came, they both said they could not handle the job. Finally the owner came out and it was done, and done nicely. Then I was told a guy would be coming to fix the drywall. Nothing major, hammer a piece of sheetrock, put whatever goo it is you put over sheet rock, some paint which we have, and walla! When the guy came he said it would take him over a day to do and that he couldn't do it that day. I have never done drywall and I could have done that job in less time. We sent him away and I told the company not to send anyone else. They did a great job fixing the dryer vent, but it took 4 days to do and by the time it was done they had lost a $30-40K+ home remodel.

We had the fence replaced on one side of our house because our dogs and the neighbors dogs were barking at each other constantly. We had the new fence built with pickets on both sides hoping that it would solve that problem and it did! The fence was done quickly and beautifully. They also tightened up a few other fence sections as a courtesy while they were here! Will hire again when more work is needed.

They were the best group I've ever had! They did great on the insulation and they were just exceptionally good. They did everything exactly when they said they were going to. I couldn't ask for more.

The pipe under our kitchen sink broke and we needed to have it fixed immediately because we were having an event at our house. They were very prompt in responding and coming out to help us fix the issue last minute. Extremely friendly and very knowledgable about why the issue had occurred. I've used them several times since then and recommend them to all my friends and family.

They were able to come out very fast and did a great job. The lawn was overgrown and they cleaned it up whole charging a competitive rate for a very large lawn. Working with the admin department was a great experience as well. Highly recommend them!

Good to work with, very professional and knowledgable. Used them again for a rental property, same excellent service.

They have, for example, been instrumental in providing the following services: fencing, exterior painting, concrete work (pouring and repair), gutter and downspout cleaning and repair, staining and painting, miscellaneous roofing tasks, power washing, siding-related matters...and other miscellaneous handyman-related needs. They have consistently been responsive and reliable...doing excellent work at a reasonable price. I am sure we will continue to use "A-Plus Energy Mgmt, Air Cond & Home Solutions" for many of our miscellaneous and handyman-related needs.

Charged it. Showed us where to clean it. Gave the option to do it wand what was involved if we did it ourselves! Felt good not to feel helpless to solve the issue. Will use them again

We recently had need for a new heating and air conditioning system as we were having lots of problems with our 18 year old unit. We searched Angie's list before selecting a company and decided on A-PLUS Heating and Air and it was surely the right choice. Wonderful, helpful and friendly people and they did a great job for us. They walked us thru the process and have continued to keep in touch to make sure things are working as they should. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needed this service. .

We had a great experience with A-Plus. By lucky coincidence I called their number and was connected with superintendent Anthony Barclay. I am extremely weary of contractors, due to previous bad experience with our pool contractor who left us hanging. Anthony has been extremely accommodating and informative. He has been here every step of the way and included our opinions in every decision that we had to make. Anthony does not skip a beat and makes sure that everything is done to perfection. He even allows me room to be a bit of a control freak. It's awesome!! The subs that they hire are top quality, too! We trust them implicitly. We are so excited to see the end result of our remodel and to hire them again for future projects!

I was recently referred to A-Plus Home Solutions by a long time A-Plus user to install a new front door. Upon my first interaction with the ladies in the A-Plus office I knew I was in good hands. I was promptly set with an appointment for the next day to meet with a fella named Anthony. The office even called me right before he headed my direction to inform me. I was impressed by Anthony?s professionalism and sincerity. Later that day I received a detailed estimate for installing my new door. After receiving another estimate from a different company I decided to move forward with A-Plus for not only did they have a fair price they also followed up with me to make sure I didn?t have any questions or concerns. Rick came out promptly on the date we scheduled with the new door in tow. Before starting the job he explained exactly what he was going to do and made sure I had no apprehension before he began. I was able to sit back,relax and even read a few chapters in my book as Rick quietly and neatly removed my old door and installed the new. Once he completed his task he showed me what he had done and made sure I was 100% satisfied with his work. A few days later I received a call from the A-Plus Office called to make sure that I was indeed a happy camper and to make sure I had a pleasant experience with A-Plus. I only had good things to say! My only regret is not knowing about A-Plus sooner. I plan on using A-Plus again in the near future and shall recommend them to anyone.

Called them up in the morning. Came out in the afternoon. Got call from them about the issue and cost. OK'ed the job. Heater got repaired in an hour. Called up main office with billing info. From the first phone call to the final repair took less than 6 hours. Their prices for the parts are a lot more expensive than when you go the an parts supply store, but you pay for the prompt service.

Initially the owner, Greg Yamin, came out in 2009 and seemed friendly, competent and professional. The company had a high rating on Angies List. He also quoted me the lowest price to replace my failed 17 year old AC unit. Office/phone staff just lovely to talk to. I hired his company and the unit was installed end of October 2009. They came in and installed the unit and everything seemed fine except for the mess they made and left in my home...young guys. A few months later after running the heat I discovered my electric bills were unusually high. Called them out and was told the heat pump had shut itself off. Note to me to check and make sure the condenser is running when I switch to heat. My old unit never did this. Called them out again in May 2010 no cooling, may be tripping. High pressure lockout couldn't find any problems but recommended I change my filters although they had just been changed and were clean. Called again in June. They replaced the drainpan. Again called them in October 2010. Turned on the heat and it's again running the auxilliary heat only. Unit on high pressure lockout, again. So this finicky piece of equipment ran until the fall of this year 2013. It was not cooling again. System low on refrigerant, way low. Insulation inside the unit in the attic was sucked into the blower motor and the technician taped it back up. $430. charge and I was chastised for refusing to do a search leak after getting the current charge. I called the owner and talked to him about these ongoing issues with my unit. Apparently, my warrantee was only good for 5 years so he recommended getting the search leak done and said he would not charge the service fee if a part was defective. My husband was listening to this conversation but letting me handle it. Another $92. for the search leak and discovered the evaporator coil was bad. Then learned it was going to cost me at least $600. service fee to replace the evaporator coil. I talked to Greg again and he swears he never told me he wasn't going to charge me a service fee. He was rude, aggressive and talked over me the entire conversation. Again, my husband heard it all and verified this man was lying. We had had enough and was told we could contact Lennox ourselves to expedite a replacement part which we did. My husband called and Lennox told him we may want to go with a different installation company which we did. They came out and discovered really poor installation and couldn't understand why A+ had not installed a drip pan as this piece equipment comes with the unit and is not an extra expense. Now my unit is working better than it ever has with good heating...better than before. I have no idea how this company could have such a high rating on this list, it doesn't on other review sites.

Several visiits for several things to get our house to pass an Austin energy audit to qualify for solar rebates. Every time these guys were courteous, on time, informative - real pros. I highly recommend A-Plus for any of your heating or AC needs.

I highly recommend A+ for any handyman or remodeling work. I am VERY apprehensive to work with contractors, based on previous experiences with unqualified and less than reputable companies. Josh, Anthony and their team are the utmost professionals and go above and beyond for their clients. I bid the projects to multiple companies and found their pricing to be the most reasonable and generous with the "extras". We initially contracted them to work on a couple projects - interior paint and pergola coverage - but was so pleased by their work ethic and quality of output that we kept adding extra projects. They hung all of our flat screen TV's, wired outdoor lighting, fixed indoor electrical outlets and even created a professional horseshoe pit for outdoor games! The biggest addition was the pergola transformation. The work they did gave us a usable space with outdoor fans hung, lighting, outdoor TV and a beautiful, 'like new' covered pergola. Josh and Anthony were always checking in to see if we were satisfied with the progress. They finished the jobs on time and did not add any extra costs or price increases as we went along. We are thrilled with the end result and would definitely use them again for future projects. They pride themselves on being fair and treating their customers like they want to be treated. Additionally, I have a 1 year old daughter and felt very comfortable having them in our home throughout the duration of the projects, which says a lot for contractors! They have experience in a variety of areas and can help any homeowner with projects, varying in skill and level of difficulty. A+ gets my stamp of approval!!

Called A+ and they came in within few hours for the service call and was given a 15% discount. There is a flat service charge plus the $ amount to get the problem fix. Once on scene, technician explained to me what the problem was and showed me step by step how its going to be fixed. He cleared out the primary drain with nitro and at sink drain as well. Thanks for providing reliable work.
