A Frame Home Services, LLC was created over 8 years ago as a result of my wife and I buying a home in South Austin. After doing so, we experienced very poor customer service from local contractors combined with low quality workmanship, and little to no responsiveness. This experience and the will to help Homeowners in North Austin, and surrounding areas, rebuild after the two devastating hail storms that hit the community spearheaded the formation of A Frame Home Services, LLC. We've been actively working to improve our company by seeking quality contractors and subcontractors, upgrading technology and processes, & consistently evaluating our price point to offer the most competitive value for home and commercial remodeling and repairs in Austin.

The double door installation was a GREAT disappointment. They said they knew how to install (one of the doors was a faux door mounted to the side of the house. It replaced an existing faux double door set). The supervisor Joe ended up coming out three times and still could not make it right. Their initial solution was to use ALOT of caulk to cover up the poor installation. The interior walls still lack support, and can be pressed in with the touch of your hand. We gave up asking them to come back out to fix. I'm staring at a $700 quote to FIX the original install. The owner of the company BLAMES the supervisor, who is no longer with the company. The owner does not stand by his company's work. We have invited the Owner to come out and review the work, which he steadfastly refuses our invitation.
"I appreciate the opportunity and the positive feedback! Thank you, Gene L. G. III Project Manager www.aframehomeservices.com Your Home is Our Business."
"[member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. After your unsuitable review, I believe it’s important that I address your points of interest so that both sides of the story are conveyed. First of all, we understand that you take great pride in your home and its condition during these improvements. It’s also important to remember that we are trained professionals with decades of combined experience. I’m sorry the floors were not initially protected to your liking. As you said, you raised your concerns about the floor coverings, we respected your wishes and upgraded the floor covering. Fact of the matter is, we know what will and what will not cause damage to the surfaces (wood flooring, metal ledges and stone counter-tops) that are present in your home. We were never made aware of any surfaces that were damaged during interior painting. This includes during the multiple reviews that took place with you and your husband. Second, it’s absurd to believe that a storm would blow through during construction and knock down doors that were placed inside your home, that were placed 8 feet away from the hopper windows which open approximately 6-8 inches, causing them to fall 41 stories and perhaps “kill” a pedestrian. Your suggestion is not only false, but I don’t understand why you would state this in a public forum with such dramatic language. Third, I disagree with your judgment about the overall quality of the work performed. I do agree that there were broken lines of communication in your absence when receiving direction from your architect. For example, her choice of paint colors which were changed mid-project and her insistence on a flat paint versus our recommendation for an eggshell sheen. Before we began painting, we encouraged your husband and your architect to consider the eggshell finish because of the potential for flash-points when applying additional coats of paint. Again, our concerns were vocalized and ignored. Finally, yes the improved finish on the cabinets was not as smooth as you had anticipated. We were limited in our capacity with the existing substrate. We performed the highest level of improvements possible with the conditions that were present. Once again, thank you very much for your feedback.
