Gonzalo’s Remodeling

It went very well. Here's what stands out. Gonzalo had a massive beam put in where the wall was taken out. He also placed a beam in perpendicularly as he said what was there was not sufficient. I had been told this by my inspector, so not only was Gonzalo correct about this, he took the initiative to let me know and put in a beam in this direction as well. Gonzalo and his team were at the sight every morning on time and worked through the day. I dropped in on occasion and they were always there making great progress. Gonzalo also has experience with foundations and told me that in his opinion, the foundation, although settling, was fine when he walked through the house with me when I was trying to decide if I was going to buy or not. This was verified by a structural engineer that I hired later. He was spot on. It's nice to have a contractor who has a lot of experience in varying aspects of home structures that you can rely on and know that the job is done right. His team: Gonzalo's electrical team came through like a well oiled machine and made the changes to the sockets and face plates, installed and moved lighting and ceiling fans, added lighting where there had been none, etc. They were great. Drywall work was amazing. No signs that any changes were made where the wall was removed and lighting moved. The ceiling where the wall was removed was perfect. And finally, he cleaned as he went and hauled off all of the trash. When you take out a wall and put in all new appliances, there is plenty of trash. I appreciate him for making my reno gorgeous and safe. I've had tenants in the house for 4 months with not one issue.
